Fend's PL: 5,000
Though still way too proud of her pun, Fend refocused as Stickler was tossed her way. It felt like a normal sword, but the odd darkness to it and the abnormal way it refracted the sunlight were tell-tale signs of the shadow magic that had imbued it. She gave it a few test swings in the air before the sound of a ray of light magic snapping out of Palibur's hilt caught her attention. Evidently, the light magic inside wasn't a big fan of shadow magic.
"Your sword's pretty cool also," She spoke, catching Palibur and handing Stickler back to its rightful wielder. "I'm not sure if Palibur's like... sentient, or not? If that's the right word for it? There's definitely somethin' funky with it that I'm gonna find out about one day whenever I manage to restore its magic." Fend awkwardly shrugged. It was hard to describe what little she could feel from the blade without sounding crazy.
Though, at the mention of her own family... "Abooout that... they're probably gonna notice me and Palibur missing sooner rather than later, sooooo..." Soon enough they'd put two and two together, and soon she'd become Otherworld's most wanted. Maybe they'd make a crime documentary about her one day. Still, she did appreciate the offer to team up and kick her kind's arrogant faces in one day. "Same with your folks also- if you ever need me and Palibur to help give them a good one-two, maybe we can be of some help one day." The masked Shinjin reciprocated as she sheathed her sword once more.
Not a moment later, though, that magical, misty feeling came full-force once more. In the distance, visible through a nearby gap in the canopy above, was a massive spire that pierced into the sky. Fend couldn't see the top from where they were. "Eeeeyup, that's definitely something magicky." Though the feeling was still hazy, now with the tower in sight, it was easier to identify it as the source.
Fend hopped into the air, taking flight to get a better look. It was surprisingly windy- she had to take a moment to readjust her stance in the air to stay upright. "Holy HFIL that's a bigass tower... I think its a tower, at least??" Even with the clear sky above, it looked like the thing just went on up forever. Either there was some serious mirage magic going on, or the mortal world's most insane architect had been here.
Dropping back to the ground, Fend clicked her tongue and put her hands on her hips. "Looks like it's just a ways forwards and a bit to the left from 'ere." Honestly, Fend was surprised how easy it was to find this giant magical monolith. If this thing was important, it was odd that it was completely unguarded...
