ACTIVE TRANSFORMATIONS: None |
Taori hadn't actually been off-planet in a long time. He was, once, when he was younger, but he had been hardly three feet tall at the time, and only remembered it had been something to do with his father's role in the military. They'd only really spent time on ships and space stations, so he hadn't seen any other actual planets. And Taori's lack of visitation to other planets would seemingly continue for the time being, as Ise, a young but powerful acquaintance of his, had called him up to meet at what she'd described as a 'neutral territory,' whatever that meant.
Regardless, this neutral territory of hers was some space port a few parsecs away from Beppa. Taori spotted what he was fairly certain was the planet the Beppans called home out the window of his ship, though he could only be so certain.
Not long after, his ship docked into a space station designated as "SB-129," and despite its shiny appearance, there was a whole lot of ruckus going on when he and Alpinia stepped inside. Technically, only Taori had been summoned, but Alpinia was eager to get out of the castle for a spell as well - which she was somewhat coming to regret when she saw the state of the space station they'd be meeting at. "You know, we never technically had a honeymoon," she commented as she warily looked around at the tough and loud clientele that made this station their point to stop at.
"That's because we were at war," Taori replied as he took his own glances around at the colorful characters present in the station, only really half paying attention to Alpinia. "And you said you didn't want to go anywhere off planet." "Well, now we're not at war, and all you do all day is have meetings and sign papers and sigh really loudly to yourself a lot." Taori had to force himself not to sigh after her last little comment, but he did say, "Well, alright, I'll see if I can push some meetings back for a week or something, then maybe we can, uh, check out Earth or something. Delia sure likes to talk it up."
There weren't any other planets that much came to mind for a relaxing vacation - Namek was mostly farmland and lakes, Arcose was actively hostile with Plant, and most other planets had their own share of problems. Though, Taori felt like he'd heard questionable things about Earth's President, lately...
Either way, Taori and Alpinia arrived at the spot Ise had told them to wait for her at, some restaurant named... "'The Broken Jaw?'" Alpinia read in an incredulous tone. "Wow, it's like we're right back in Radditsu!" It certainly did give off that kind of vibe. Taori and Alpinia both took their seats at a table near the edge of the restaurant, where a waiter wordlessly smacked a pair of glasses of water down in front of them. Now, where was Ise...?
