After the six months spend treading the line of life and death that Dion had been forcibly made to do, and the eventual release that came through the assistance of the assassin Gray and his younger sibling Carro, it became evidently clear to the pair that despite the two of them wanting nothing more than to leave the place of their past and present destitution, neither Carro's ship nor Dion was in any condition to guarantee they would even endure the lengthy trip that it would take to get home in the first place. In Carro's haste to make it to Plant, their ship had endured considerable damage, and Dion's injuries made it difficult to gauge how much more his body could take before giving out even in light of his continued persistence in the face of his own passing.
Considering these circumstances, the Hofferson siblings saw it fit to choose a locale that they could lay low within without the threat of the need to come into unnecessary contact with either the Tuffles or the Saiyans that were currently (and presumably) at odds with one another around them. It had been what felt like a life time since either sibling had stepped foot upon the planet, and even longer since they stayed in touch with it's political ongoings and societal advancements, so they decided it best to assume that everyone could and would be coming after them if given the chance.
This was why the Saiba-Wastes was the optimal backdrop for the two- so that neither side would ever be given that chance. Considering it's barren nature, it would be intrinsic for one to assume that they would be, more often than not, the only people populating the area on a daily basis. It was the Saiba-Wastes after all, and besides the few Saiba-Bandits, and Saiba-Beasts, and, whatever other Saiba-classified creatures there happened to be amongst the rocky wilderness, Dion believed that it would be their most obvious choice of stay. On the plus side, Carro's energy signature emulated a feel that was incredibly different from the rest of the lifeforms that congregated in this certain part of the planet, so it would be presumably very difficult to mistake his little brother's life signature for that of, say, a prickly cactus or something.
As today would highlight, however, it appeared as though that he would be proven very wrong, as one mishap or two led to Dion eventually losing sight of where he and his little brother had set up camp, and now he was left to wander the vast expanse of the wastelands before him in, albeit valiant, search for his kin. Being left to his own devices in a less than welcoming desert climate was not how he wanted to spend the remainder of his day, and potentially his life if he couldn't eventually find his way out.
Thankfully, it appeared as though his troubles would be coming to an end sooner rather than later, as amidst his frantic searching he was able to pick up on a power level not too far off from where he currently was having his dire dilemma.
Only problem being that it most certainly wasn't his brother's own energy that he was sensing, and it was definitely not the most kindest of energies he's ever felt, but, company was company in this case Dion supposed, and so he wasted no time tracking down this newly acquired POI. It didn't take him too long to triangulate on his position, and once there, he landed a few yards or so behind the intimidating looking figure.
"Sorry to, uh, intrude sir, but, do you maybe have a minute to spare? I'm in a bit of a bind, so to speak."
