Cassidy's extensive experience within the realm of mixed martial arts (and everything in-between) was beneficial in many more ways than one. After all, it offered a strong base to build upon what his now present life came to be. It was his experience in combat that enabled him to be able to pick up mercenary work so easily, and subsequently was what attracted Derry's attention and successive offer to be a part of the Dirty Snakes in the first place. He had a lot to credit to his hard work in mixed martial arts, and even now, despite his professional career having long since passed its heyday, it continued to bear many fruit.
One such fruit being that he was able to help train many of the Dirty Snakes members that were brought into the fold that were, less, experienced than he or the other senior members when it came to getting their hands dirty, so to speak. While he was never necessarily the teacher type, many have told him he takes to it like a rider to horse, so, whenever he had the free time to do so, Cassidy didn't often mind teaching those willing a thing or two about how to improve their ability out in the field.
It's, happened more times than he's willing to admit.
And has been happening even more often now that Derry himself had been instated as president of the entire planet! The initial shock thankfully having now spent itself after a day or two of making itself known in him, Cassidy was one of the members of the Dirty Snakes that offered to take a good amount of the jobs that were now left untended to, seeing as Derry had both the responsibilities of a president and an underground crime syndicate executive to now juggle.
However, even though Cassidy did only mean well, there was ever still present the issue of the other members also learning to begin to pull more weight than they were ever usually expected to. This didn't necessarily mean it in regards to housekeeping manners, either- many of the members who originally solely focused on the financial or housekeeping manners formerly mentioned were now expected to also learn to be able to defend themselves and the rest of the gang in the case that Derry would be unable to rally his men against whatever may be befalling them.
Unsurprisingly, this meant Cassidy was given the chief duty of helping many of the lesser combat abled members to brush up a bit on their hand to hand, as well as their Ki utilization if necessary. While flattered Derry would entrust him with such a task that could potentially affect the wellbeing of the entirety of their operation, it didn't make it any less exhaustive.
Today marked the beginning of what likely would be one of many one on one training sessions spent with one of the more notable members of the gang that held the strength to be a definite threat, but lacked the technical knowhow to put it to use. That man, or, being? He wasn't exactly sure what, was Ban.
Cassidy didn't really know much of the feller, from what he could tell he was a newer addition that he had failed to introduce himself to amidst his six month absence, but after hearing what he could bring to the table, the weathered veteran was more than happy to start with him first and foremost.
He's never actually seen a Saibaman in person, either, so, that partially influenced his decision to take up his lessons first. Who would pass up on the opportunity to try something new, right?
