SPECIAL DELIVERENCE
Desperate times called for desperate measures. Carro hated waking up in the red wastelands of Plant, dodging other saiyans and scavenging like a starved rat for food, supplies, and the precious parts needed to repair his ship and finally leave this cursed place with his rescued sibling. He only needed a few more parts to safely leave the vicious atmosphere of the planet, but the rare materials needed to repair the spaceship's engine and thrusters were no easy task to get. He'd taken up work at the mercenary outpost to gather the funds needed to make repairs as legally as he could. Dion didn't have to know what his younger sibling was doing- as far as his brother knew, right now he was scampering around in a junkyard looking for gear.Of course, just in case his brother ever found out, Carro was sure to stay away from any work that involved killing, and always made sure the tasks could be done safely before agreeing. That was what led him into the Saiba Wastes, with a package strapped to his back. Some snotty saiyan family wanted its contents delivered to an outpost of sorts. They were blunt about the fact that they were only hiring a "poor little weakling" like him since he was "small and inconspicuously pathetic enough to avoid attention if things went awry." In other words, he was disposable. It was better to suck up the insults than to snap back and risk his neck getting snapped, though. What was important was that they were offering him one of the last few pieces for his ship he needed in return for the little favor, so long as the package was delivered undamaged and he didn't look inside it.Carro's journey hadn't been too eventful so far. He'd dissuaded a few Saiba-Beasts from making him lunch with some food scraps he had on hand, and worked his way through the dense jungle until he came across the remains of a long-abandoned outpost. The ruins were a landmark he'd been told about. His destination was only a half-hour north of here. It was almost sunset- he'd have to pick up the pace and arrive there before the more vicious, nocturnal beasts awoke. The small saiyan took a moment to stop and catch his breath. He tightened the straps on his gravity band and brushed some dust off his goggles, looking up to the full moon peering through the dense canopy of the overgrown ruins. He readjusted his goggles- making the lenses blutz-repellant was a smart investment.A buzz in his ear snapped him back to his attention, though. His scouter clicked and beeped, alerting him to a nearby power level. "Dammit--" Carro cursed, slipping into a nearby alleyway. He peeked out from its shadows, trying to pinpoint just where this other entity was. In the best case-scenario, this was just another rowdy beast. In the worst case-scenario, he'd yet again have to deal with his brethren...
