The journey from Plant to Earth hadn’t taken all that long but within the confines of an Attack Pod with very little space to move around it had been long enough for the young Saiyan warrior who, despite trying to observe a form of meditation she had recently learned about, had grown ever more restless. Combatting oneself and other opponents in her mind's eye had been interesting at first but try as she might she couldn’t make her opponents unpredictable and not feeling the impact of flesh on flesh and the blood pumping through her veins robbed Jagaimo of most of the excitement she probably should have felt facing such varied enemies. It was no small relief when the pod zipped past the glowing white sphere that orbited her target and the Earth itself came into view for the first time. The Saiyan Scout was dumbstruck for a moment…the planet was so unlike Plant in every way…yes she could spot what looked like deserts or wastes…the oceans…the planet was covered in them, and so much green space between them all. It looked like a paradise compared to where she had come from.
The pod had touched down on the outskirts of a settlement that seemed to be thriving, large buildings covered the land and roads sprawled everywhere with vehicles racing across the surface on strange black discs. It was all very fascinating. The strangest part was in a place this big she could sense so many people…so many weak…people…there was barely any power here at all. It wasn’t until she pushed her senses to her limits that she found she could feel others of significance. So there were some here of note then it seemed and not just the well…normal people she could feel so many of.
What surprised the young lady the most was the lack of fights just going on in the streets and the well kept nature of everything she came across along with how people barely paid her any attention. Despite her armour and crazy mane of hair she garnered no more than some passing glances as people rushed by on their way to who knew where. She didn’t know how but Jagimo found herself standing in a courtyard, mouth open and eyes wide at the cages and their inhabitants arrayed before her.
“Brothers and sisters…why do you allow yourselves to be caged such?”
The man sweeping the path in front of the bars looked up at her confused for a moment before he went back to work, pulling his cart along with him and moving round the yard. The inhabitants of the cages continued to look on, hanging from their tails, lounging in tire swings or clinging to ropes.
“What have they done to you?”
She couldn’t understand what she was seeing. These proud noble warriors…caged behind bars…trapped in what appeared to be miniature versions of their Oozaru form…She could already feel the outrage building.
“YOU!”
She pointed at the man sweeping away,
“Bring me the keys at once or suffer the wrath of the Saiyans. We are no one's captives.”
Jagaimo struck her best ‘you better do what i say pose’ with her hands on her hips, head tilted towards him and glared at the man with all the menace of a teenager in cosplay. He took one look at her and shook his head,
“You're wasting your breath lady, it ain’t up to me. Ask one of the keepers, they’re around here somewhere.”
He shrugged once and wandered on pulling his cart with him, leaving the young woman looking wholly stupid standing there trying to look imposing to an empty courtyard. The captives behind the bars largely ignored her as well, some even yawning as they lazed about on their swings. They didn’t seem as concerned with their captivity as their would be rescuer was, comfortable in their surroundings with food and bedding and plenty of toys.
Jagaimo strode forward and stepped off the path and onto the soft grass, hands placed on the bars, muscles tensing as she gave a heave and wrenched the metal apart, wide enough for even a large Saiyan to squeeze through the gap.
“You are free!”
The young Saiyan looked pleased with herself as the bars parted easily and then very confused by what she saw, eyes moving to the inhabitants of the cage who all paused for a moment to look back at her…before the screeching and panicked running, jumping and swinging started…
