This was the closest moment Ward had to cracking a smile out of pure amusement at the first question that came from Maxsuz, because it was one of the few times a mortal he was speaking with asked this in a genuine way and didn't try to use it as an insult.
"I suppose that depends on the perspective and the definition you are using. If you are asking if I am a being to be put on a pedestal and be worshiped in some capacity due to what I can do or have done, then no, I am no god. I am from a species that has been around long before any other in this universe, helping shape it from the very beginning of its creation. I have lived for multiple centuries, but I'm no more than a comparative infant to my people given the life spans of my species. I am Ward, a Shinjin."
He had still been idly creating objects up to the moment he gripped his fist and placed both hands back behind his back, standing up a bit more straight as Maxsuz began speaking once more. It was unsurprising that the things he had spoke of would be questions, either due to disbelief or sheer curiosity, but there was no reason not to answer to some extent at least.
"There is no such thing as a perfect world. I would argue there is no true existence of perfection even that I am personally aware of. I would say more so a world as I described was peaceful, but I wouldn't say perfect. Perfect is another case of perspective that most use to describe their ideal situation. To me perfection is a proper equilibrium that many look down on because of their personal prejudices, but every perspective is based on experience and bias after all."
Ward stopped for a moment, adjusting his coat before he started to walk again, looking around them as he walked, taking in the surroundings. It wasn't all that different from other places he had been, but the architecture was obviously different, the way people they passed dressed, the smells and sounds. They all mixed with each sense as he mulled over his words before speaking once more.
"That's a difficult answer. Perhaps the right thing to do isn't something you have it in your power and ability to perform. I also know there can be and must be times where violence is necessary, though I do my personal best to avoid it at all costs, despite the questions that arise when I mention that, given my personal strength. It's also a question that is difficult to answer as I don't know enough about this society. I know however that violence as an immediate response only leads to further violence without question. I know that's not the response you'd hope to hear."
