Taking some time off of the presidency sure felt great, especially since Derry's already got a lot on his plate with Maggie. He and Hazel definitely needed to have this break and just relax in her manor for a while, though even still he can't quite get his mind off of all of that work. He's been working relentlessly for the past few months when it comes to becoming the president, and it's not like the criminal underworld has been quiet either. At the very least the other Snakes should be able to handle their current operations for a while, leaving him with just Hazel and Magnolia, and if he was honest, that's all he really needed.
At the moment, Derry is lounging around in the living room, his feet taking up the entirety of the couch while he watches the news and takes a sip of coffee, though he notably isn't alone. Maggie was present as well, though she was a bit busy gnawing on pretty much anything in sight. The little baby demon did chew on the toys Hazel brought, but only sometimes as the little girl seemingly prefers chewing on tables and whatnot, which is what she was currently busy doing. Derry debated trying to get her to stop, but she can get a bit pouty when he tells her that she can't chew on the table, and he doesn't exactly want to deal with that at the moment, at least not this early in the morning.
The news wasn't exactly anything special either, as they talk about new and upcoming presidential candidates that Derry can either just have eliminated or leave alone since they'll just eliminate themselves. He sighs to himself, briefly glancing back down at little Maggie still chewing on the table as he wonders if there's anything exciting Hazel has planned. She has been a bit more energetic as of late, which was nice to see whether it be from no longer having her energy drained by taking care of Maggie's egg or the upcoming holidays. He just didn't exactly know what Hazel has planned out, and in a way, it somewhat worries him.
