Despite Haya's clear discomfort at what was currently happening, Sioux still stood resolute with their words. They were firm, and nothing that he said was going to change their mind. "Pa, wouldn't the opposite be same as well. The reason why I don't want you to do this is cause I don't want you to get hurt as well." He said, desperately trying to think of some other excuse he could use. "What about the clinic? You got patients as well." A shaky smile had come across his face, for a brief moment hoping that he had gotten some leverage over his father.
To his surprise though, Sioux had commented rather calmly. "I will only be joining you when you are off doing your world-saving missions. Since I high doubt they are frequent, I do not believe it will interfere with business. Even then, I have had some cures mixed up already, if one were to come whilst we are both out, I have a friend who can briefly take over for me. I had this substitute for awhile, although I just never had to call on them for help." Although they were a bit worried that a patient would come in with a life threatening disease or injury, those were rare, happening once every year or so anyways. Most of these patients still went to the local hospital seeing as they were just a clinic. Many of their current patients had treatable conditions which could be solved through a simple herbal remedy, one that she had taught to a friend anyways.
"Damn it pa. Just know to stay back at let me to protect you." Haya mumbled under his breath, still audible for the others to hear. Sioux simply chose to ignore that remark, seeing as they knew he would accept it eventually, especially when the two of them knew that they were at a stalemate. One could not stop the other from joining, and as such they had to begrudgingly give into the conditions that they had. Letting out a loud dramatic sigh, Haya turned towards Jackie, "what do we need to do first? If it helps out, I can tell you that I'm good with a sword, although I have to work with covering my defenses admittedly." He said, lowering his voice a bit at the last part.
"This is why I am coming along. I will act as his shield," Sioux interjected. "I admit, I am not well versed within more combative arts, although I trust my healing skills could make up for it. I can heal anyone that you need upon the battlefield." They did wish that they had any other skills that could prove useful in their endeavor, although that was all they knew they were capable of as of right now. Never had they gotten into any combat situation, especially when all of that was typically Haya's specialty instead.
Jackie then proposed a place to meet up, a strange location called Korin's Tower. While Haya shook his head her question of whether they knew where it was, Sioux had to think for a brief moment. Why did it sound so familiar? They had definitely heard of a place by that name, although they were equally positive that they had never been there before. "... I don't believe so," they finally said after a few moments of mulling it over. It was easier to say no than to give a false promise after all.
