CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
"I shall defeat you, eradicate humanity, and bring about the dawn of an endless age that can never be tainted."
APPEARANCE:
BACKGROUND: After being birthed from one of the many fruitful branches of the World Tree of the homeworld of the Kai’s, Darastras from the beginning seemed to be a once in a millennia talent. His substantial intellect even in comparison to his fellow brethren, prodigious skill and fight IQ whilst in the midst of combat, and consistent yearning to learn more about the universe and how to better help it grow were all the makings of a young, up and coming Shinjin of the Grand Worlds.
However, the one thing that held him back within his process was his understanding of the Kais’ role in the preservation of the universe as a whole. As Darastras saw it, with this point of view perhaps influenced by his youthful nature in comparison to the rest of his people, it seemed only natural that the great watchers of this even greater garden known as the universe would have a more hands on approach to taking care of it.
Instead, to his great surprise, Darastras found that their places in the hierarchy were to simply watch and observe the goings on of the cosmos as they transpired. This, boggled the younger Shinjin- they had the longevity, strength, and wisdom to not only simply help the universe prosper, but to help it advance at a pace that would dwarf the current speed that it progressed at currently! Why wouldn’t they use what tools they had at their disposal to help the universe along properly?
In response, Darastras was forced to remember the fact that they were not the only beings within the universe, nor was it simply wildlife and flora that they took great care looking after. Mortalkind was commonplace all over, and their presence was exactly why they were unable to take a more intimate approach toward the universe’s embetterment.
While he was hesitant to let the wellbeing of something so important be in the hands of someone other than his and his own kinds’, and even more unnerved at the fact that his race was willing to be so complacent, Darastras was an obliging Shinjin- always willing to give one a chance to prove themselves and their worthiness in whatever facet that they wish to prove themself in. Thus, with the blessing of his Shinjin brethren, Darastras decided to do exactly what he wanted to do in the first place. Get to know the mortals in a much more intimate approach than his other Shinjin brothers and sisters were willing to do.
He headed to the lower mortal realms, prepared to introduce himself to the mortal populace as a go-between of sorts- a student, in a way, who wished to learn simply the classes he would eventually become the teacher and caretaker of. Darastras hoped that his visit would help to enlighten him as well as help him to enlighten the mortals of their Godly-given knowledge and physicality, and perhaps even delight him in the ways of mortalkind, and showcase to him that they were indeed worthy of the mantle of the universe’s concierge
The young Shinjin was horrified at what he saw.
Yes, he saw truly fantastical things in nature, but not in the positive light that he had hoped to see them in. There were mortal beings whose strength, but also cruelty, eclipsed that of anything that he had ever seen- and while they were next to nothing against his divine light, he could feel his heart being wrenched in its place as he could see the many worlds and lands within the universe that had been ravaged due in part to their savagery and inherent brutality.
Within the first hundred years, Darastras tried to stay hopeful, his warm-heartedness begging constantly for him to continue giving them a chance at changing in their wicked ways- but as he continued to walk amongst them with a watchful and critical gaze, it was as though history proceeded to repeat itself over, and over, and over again.
In his own words, the mortals came to prosper, and then they came to war, and then they all fell- bringing whatever beautiful and prosperous lands around them to ruin. The grounds upon which they stepped forever scarred by their transgressions.
It was after a thousand years' time, and the constant cloud of death and destruction filling his senses, that Darastras could see clearly what he, and apparently, his own kind, had failed to see all those years ago. In the end, everything that the mortals did always led to chaos, even if they began their journeys with somewhat respectable intentions, and he felt that the Kais weren't doing the necessary action to prevent this.
Somewhat fortunately, all of this was suppressed until one fateful meeting with the Kais upon his return to the Grand Worlds, wherein he showcased his findings and displeasure with the Kais' lack of action. Darastras, in an impassioned display, verbally razed the Kais that were there to meet him, the anger he held deep within for hundreds of years toward their inactivity in response to the horrors he had seen up close now boiling over in its totality.
When this occurred, their heated exchanges incited a violent outburst from Darastras, his rampage causing countless casualties as well as being a means of reason to ban Darastras from the Grand World of the Kais, shunning him to the mortal realms below that he had come to hate. The younger Shinjin believed his actions to be vindicated after what he had seen from their own inaction, and still to this day thinks that they rightfully deserved to pay for their inherently sinful lack of action in blood.
After sustaining heavy injuries though, as well as knowing he was outnumbered severely, Darastras decided to spend a bit of time to think upon a plan somewhere he knew his fellow Shinjins’ prying eyes wouldn’t dare cast their sight over- the Demon Realms and subsequently Hell itself. It was there, whilst he thought upon his injury, his race, and the growing cancer that was mortalkind, that he had come to the conclusion that would drive him for the rest of his existence.
Mortals were too dangerous to be kept alive and that the gods that do nothing about such transgressions were just as much of a threat to the universe’s wellbeing, and therefore both must be exterminated for the sake of justice, thus creating the blueprint for what would eventually become Project Silence.
After this realization, Darastras decided to start part of his holy crusade where he stood- razing the very depths of Hell and bathing it further red with the blood of its demon inhabitants, all in the name of divine Justice. During his campaign, he came across a being that would come to be his greatest partner, and sword, in his quest for universal cleansing.
A Demon Saiyan hybrid child, whose worse for wear condition seemed to come from other sources besides himself, had revealed itself to Darastras soon after the execution of its entire village- coming out from within the rubble of an overturned homestead as soon as the last demonic flame was snuffed out.
Expecting this to be a mercy killing, Darastras approached the youth with the intent on releasing it from its cursed existence until it had made a request toward him that surprised him. The young child wished for the ability to act in vengeance toward the rest of his kind that mistreated him so. The Demon Saiyan halfing did not hate Darastras for his actions, no, in fact he seemed drawn to him due in part to them- as he not only appreciated the Shinjin setting him free from the potential centuries of torture that he would have undergone due to his hybrid nature, but also looked to him in awe as he had the strength to do so in the first place.
Feeling in his debt, as well as wanting an opportunity to get back at the world that had turned its back on him, the toddler pleaded with Darastras to allow him the chance to work, albeit in a novitiate state, alongside him as his sword to pierce through the very evils mortalkind wrought with its continued existence.
Seeing as he could use the extra firepower, as well as feeling moved by the young boy’s want to repent for his inherent imperfection, Darastras allowed for the boy to come along with him. And so, Viru, as he would soon learn to call him, became the deadly sword to his impregnable shield.
It was around this time that Darastras finally set himself on exactly what he was to do in order to secure the health and security of the universe as a whole. He would become the judge, jury, and executioner on behalf of existence- the one true God who would preside over all of creation, one who would exterminate all of mortalkind to save not only them but also the cosmos from their own self destructive nature.
And as they continue to search the cosmos for further allies to aid in their crusade, as their forces begin to grow, and as their strength in tandem continues to increase, Darastras’ vision for a perfect utopia begins to form. Free from the influence of both Kai and mortal sin.
A utopia that he will do everything in his power to bring about.
