CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE:
"Prepare to face the full throttle of a God's anger!"
BACKGROUND: Viru was born to a Saiyan female and a Demon male, their union having been made in secret due to his father’s clan valuing its pureblooded heritage over everything else they had built themselves upon. They had met during a clan escapade to the living realms above, and before being driven back to their damned depths below, the two had made a promise to each other to stay in touch- feeling an odd attraction between themselves that neither could resist for very long.
Sadly, fate was a cruel mistress, and despite being able to conceive a child, during labor, Viru’s mother had passed away from the intensity, and soon after his father’s clan had found out just what was going on behind closed doors. They had an itching suspicion something was off after constant unexplained disappearances for weeks at a time from Viru’s father, and all they had to do was send someone in secret to tail him one fateful day as he visited the world of the living in order to realize exactly what was transpiring.
Viru’s father, after the delivery and subsequent grieving, traveled back to his clan’s homeland with the intention of raising Viru in secret. Upon his return, however, he was immediately taken away and executed for such grievous perversion of their sacred tradition of keeping their demon blood clean of impurity.
Instead of getting rid of the child right away, however, the clan members decided to attempt to grow the youth into something that they would be able to use to their advantage. While inherently impure, a babe made from that of a union between two of the most malevolent and strongest chaotic forces in the universe could be of use to them.
Their means of cultivating Viru into a suitable tool for their usage, however, was clearly influenced by their great bias against impurity as a whole, and so the process was torturous, and at times explicitly made inhumane- for every little mistake Viru was given a punishment a thousand times worse than the mistake itself. With the greatest loss being that of his own left arm, a permanent reminder of what happens when you even slightly falter.
Such flawed means of teaching confused, and most of the time also angered Viru to no end, the unrealistic standards he was being held up to constantly day by day birthing a wellspring of anger deep within him. Hatred began to fester and bottle itself up inside from day one, the thought of wiping out every single person who had done him wrong bringing him even only slight clarity.
Soon enough, his hatred began to expand its influence as it grew, not only with his immediate clan, but toward the limited world around him- hatred for his mother and father for having left him to fend for himself in already unsustainable conditions, venom toward both the Saiyan and Demon races for being so inherently hateful in their approach toward those of imperfect nature and even eventual loathing growing toward the Kais of the Grand Worlds above him, for not eliminating the entirety of the Demon realm populace like the scum that they were, thus failing to potentially spare him from such a pain of an existence.
One day, however, he awoke to the fear-filled screams of his clansmen echoing outside of his dirt hut’s walls. Instead of choosing to try and run like most sensible children would, Viru instead chose to remain inside the comfort of his home, listening in and relishing the pained cries of his tormentors echo throughout the streets of their small village.
Soon enough though, the screams had all but stopped, and Viru decided that it was time to see exactly who he was to thank for such a liberating rescue. He slowly made his way out of his hut, with the ruins of many village buildings now greeting him as he slowly stumbled through the dirtied and thrashed pathways of his former demon-infested dwellings.
Eventually, after turning the corner out from some fallen debris, his eyes fell on a strange sight indeed- it looked to be a person of Shinjin descent, one of the many races he had originally aimed his animosity toward before, standing atop the carnage before him.
And while that hatred was still very much there, this Shinjin, unlike the rest of his race, decided to do what the rest of his people didn’t, and he immediately respected him for that. Upon approaching him though, the Shinjin turned and stared at him with a look of pity on his face- and immediately Viru could feel that if he didn’t do something there and then, he would be headed exactly where the rest of his oppressors were headed.
So, there in the debris ridden street, Viru got onto his knees, his single hand gripped into a fist as he lacked the other appendage to clasp with, as he began to beg the Shinjin for a second chance at life.
A chance at revenge that he had so sought after all these years. A chance at redemption and repenting for his inherently sinful nature. And a chance at repaying what the Shinjin had done for him by any means necessary.
And to the young boy’s surprise, and delight, the Shinjin said yes.
From there on, Viru was dedicated to learning and embodying everything that his new master Darastras would teach to him- inheriting a bit of magical prowess as well as mastering proper Ki control (which allowed him to create a Ki prosthetic to make up for the loss of his left arm), along with being able to witness not only the rest of the malicious landscape of the demon realm, but as well as the living world in the form of the whole cosmos along with it- The truth of all things having been revealed to him by Darastras through their years of experience traversing through these realms together, the truth that all of mortalkind is inherently flawed, and that their cruelty must be nipped in the bud before it can continue to grow, fester, and harm those in the way that it did Viru himself.
In their journeys, they spent years working at their crusade at a scale that wouldn’t garner too much attention to merit either Kai or mortal intervention, working mostly at the outskirts of the universe, eliminating mortal populaces at a frighteningly quick rate, while also ensuring to take long periods of stagnancy in between to ensure these deeds could not be traced back to them. In the midst of their travels, they came across a disappointingly few number of persons who would claim to support their cause. And most of them went on to attempt to betray them in the end anyways, which, never ended well for them.
Finally, though, in their most recent years, they began to have a streak of luck in terms of growth, with Darastras locating a planet in the cosmos that held the next potential aide to add to their crusade, and with Viru having convinced Darastras to pick up a little slave girl that they themselves had freed from her enslavement just as Darastras had done for Viru all those years ago- a little Majin girl who Viru would come to lovingly name Bobbi. Viru trained and eventually came to treat Bobbi as if she was his own daughter, seeing in her the little boy that Darastras had once saved from a life of blight and continued torment through servantry all those years ago. Through his actions, he not only wanted to take after Darastras’ example, but also wanted to fill in as the girl’s father figure- knowing how it felt to have gone without a proper one to lead him through his own life. They grew incredibly close, as though they were biologically father and daughter themselves, and Darastras subsequently was pleased to see another warrior grown for the purpose of the crusade in the form of Bobbi under Viru’s lenient yet effective guidance.
Now, with the ball rolling with more and more momentum, the three set their eyes on further cementing their success whilst on the path toward universal purification, with Darastras now guiding the three to their next lead that could potentially bolster their forces further.
No matter what though, despite what or whoever is to come between them and their fulfilling of their Project Silence, Viru will be there as Darastras’ sharpened sword of justice, slicing through whatever may dare get in the way of their just goal.
