Oh. So she was a weirdo too. Got it.
Erebos chuckled at her response, wiggling his finger to summon a dog collar. The black faux-leather crinkled in his hand as he offered it to her. ” I̷̥͍̿̌ ̵͈̑́d̸͈̞̈́͆ĩ̸͓̙͌d̴̯̈̈n̶͉̤͗̓’̵̪̭̃͛ẗ̷̍ͅ ̶̭͝ṭ̶͊̾h̴̢̓͝i̶͕̖̅̽n̶͔͝k̵̻̝͊̐ ̷͉̈́y̶͎̳̚ỏ̴͉̤̚ủ̶̫̍ ̶̪̈ẃ̷̺̋e̸̺̠̽͋r̷͎̤͒̽e̴̺͉͌̌ ̵̳̬͛t̸͍̥̓̓h̵̖̲̓̒á̶̞̈t̷͉͌̈́͜ ̶̲̲̀̍k̸̢̦͝i̴̞̚ň̷͕͑͜d̶͔̏ ̸̝͑ỏ̶̢f̶͚̺͊̃ ̷̙͕̈́g̷̜͎̀̉i̷̖͂r̷̻̤̎̇ĺ̴͈̺.̶̖̉͊ͅ ̵̠̠̉Ï̶̩̜͠ ̸̛̳͎w̶̻̱͑̇ô̷͎̘ụ̵̍̕l̷̗̍͊ḏ̶͈̆͠ṉ̵͍̄’̴̥̋t̴̰́͛ ̴̢͙̍ṃ̸͌͆ȋ̷̞̼́ņ̸̍̆d̸̞̣̈́͗ ̷̨̳̏͒a̶̬͘͠ ̴͎̹͗p̴̮͐͊e̷̜̫̊͊t̶̰̎̐ ̷̖͙͝i̶̪͊f̶͉̟̉͒ ̴̩̃̽y̴̡̧͐o̷̤̫̐̏u̷̧̩̒’̵̻̯͂͝r̵̙̈́e̶͙̔ ̴̭͊̋o̵͎̘͛͐f̸͒͝ͅf̵̭̽̕e̵͈̣̾r̸̢̋̐i̶̻̪̕n̷͕͔̐̄g̴̱̉.̴͚̀͆ ̶̢̍“
He giggled again, amused by his remark. Given her age, she might misconstrue the comment as a language barrier, but maybe her wit would allow her to realize he was simply turning her words around on her.
Speaking of wit, it seemed she was eager to use said intelligence against him in combat. Her style was neither calculated nor chaotic, but rather a horrid mixture of both. Wild, uncoordinated strikes compiled together in an almost dance-like pattern to form a deadly swathe of strikes. Erebos turned the shadowy collar into a floating hand sporting it’s own sword, which helped him parry the near endless barrage of battering blows. For each one he blocked, another two would slip past his defenses, cutting deep and leaving their marks rather scornfully.
Still, despite the pain, he laughed. A wild, excited look in his eyes. Murderous and yet filled with a childlike wonder. His backpedaling came to a halt when his leg was yanked out from under him, and he hit the floor head-first. Groaning through the pain, he cracked another smile as she stood over him.

But it seemed she wasn’t interested, as she let loose another barrage of slashes. This time though, she would meet nothing but rock, as Erebos had sunk straight through the floor and into the shadowy abyss.
Stepping out from the wall Ward had created, Erebos leaned against it like the cock-sure fool he was, and waved his hand lazily. The dog collar-turned-hand morphed again, this time into a fully realized version of Erebos. This one was a bit different, though. Rather than a perfect copy, this was little more than his silhouette. It brandished its blade and lashed out against Phakk, sending a trio of stabs her way, before ending with a rising slice to her chest.
The Shadowmancer was no stranger to melee combat, but he needed to keep his distance for now. Until the fullness of his stamina returned, these ranged spells and copies would have to suffice. Surely the Abyssal Beast had range of her own, though. Was she catching her breath, too? The after effects of his Shade Wave still lingered on her skin, so perhaps she was holding back.
He sure hoped she wasn’t.
