GENERAL INFORMATION
NAME: Tulelip Acinth Maranth XXVIII
ALIASES: Wilting Wallflower Tutelip, Never-Will-Be-King Tulelip
AGE: 16
GENDER: Male
SPECIES:Dark Konatsian - Warrior Heritage, Keen Senses, Weapons Master
GENERAL TRAITS: Minimalist, Deep Pockets
STARTING PLANET: Earth
HOME REGION: Central City
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE: Tulelip's body is a weapon honed by ballroom dance lessons and a not insignificant amount of demonic corruption. He cuts a very princely figure on account of being a prince, but his face shows a tension and anxiety that would better fit a dirty peasant. He wears his hair short and spiky, dyeing it magenta to look more like other Konatsian royals. As for his clothes, the bejeweled raiments were sold off, and instead Tulelip dresses in mismatched Earthen casualwear. He is pale as milk and wears blue contacts.
BACKGROUND:
The House of Maranth claims to have risen to the Wreathed Throne without exploiting the Kashvars and their magic, they simply took the liberty of requisitioning their skills and crafts while keeping a monopoly among noble houses that remains uncontested to this day. To be doubly sure that they'd rule for the rest of eternity, the Maranth politely but firmly tried to exile the Kashvar population off-world, a failure they can't keep secret. They also exiled many who stood against it, making a show of how horrible and barbaric the universe was. In fact, exile has become the go-to sentencing to most crimes, explaining the rise in Konatsian sightings across the galaxies. Even then, most are just running from the storms wrecking their world.
Tulelip is a prince exiled, by his own king and father, for the crimes of demon possession and possession of a demon. He is also the first prince ever to be exiled, which is not how he wished to stand out since it will definitely not win him the throne. Tulelip's sickly constitution can barely endure the hellish conditions of machine-laden and magically-starved Earth, but he is kept alive by THE DREAM OF REVENGE and ambition.
Tulelip was born the twenty-third child of forty-seven (so far), but because it is tradition for the King to choose a successor regardless of birth order, Tulelip still had a shot at wearing the Flower Crown. He technically kept it even after being diagnosed with chalkbone, so competition remained ruthless to the three-year-old. When time kept proving that he lacked the strength to become a swordsman and the stamina to play a magical instrument, Tulelip chose to learn letters — which was seen as very unprincely, and the damn shot was thrown away.
The evolution of Tulelip's reading materials was slow, but accounting books and fables about happy-go-lucky fencer bards eventually turned into Kashvar grimoires and dark literature. So dark, in fact, that it began to shape him as much as the absence of parents that cared for him, or siblings that wouldn't backstab him. At age nine, Tulelip bargained his soul for 'the power to conquer galaxies and the void between them' to the most powerful demon he had read on, oblivious to the fact that 'The Ultimate Book of Infernal Hierarchy' was outdated — the once empress-like That Nameless Evil That Skins You had been reduced to a fraction of her power!
That Nameless Evil That Skins You was magicked into the living world as a 'simple' sword. One that, unlike other swords, Tulelip could swing above his head and cast magic with. But what he loved most about the sword was that she talked to him, imparting evil-minded life lessons that systematically made him outshine (and outlive three of) his siblings. Not only did Tulelip get his shot back, he became one of the King's favorite children. The price for this life change was the routine sacrifice of 'the innocent and helpless', as per the contract.
Tulelip sacrificed at a pace faster than he could cover his tracks, he was eventually caught by an adventurer party but not killed on the spot. The larpers brought evidence of his rituals to the king, but as he was a prince, they were deemed insufficient and grounds for their execution. Still, it was undeniable that Tulelip had been dealing with demons for a long while, so for the sake of Konats he was sent off to far-off Earth.
Since his arrival, Tulelip has been living off pawned ornaments while learning to keep his 'magicking' subtle.
