This is because That Nameless Evil That Skins You is not above reshaping itself to cause an impression. Be it cursed sigils, blood dripping, glowing runes or bubbling eyes, the sword is too vain and powerful to ever go unnoticed.

After an incomprehensibly long time, a konatsian king accidentally channeled That Nameless Evil That Skins You during a tasseography session. Haunted by the experience, he put to quill and parchment the sheer breadth of cursed knowledge imparted by the loathsome sword. The scroll, later adapted into a book, was a flourished and biased account of the demon's life and times. It would eventually fool a young Tulelip into believing that he was selling his soul to a worthwhile power, and not a thorough has-been.
Suddenly bound to a youngster with a surprising penchant for doing what he is told, That Evil That Skins You is cautious to not get too attached to the underdog, lunatic prince. He might yet prove a useful, if ephemeral, tool.
