EARTHLING • 18 • MALE • EARTH • WESTERN WILDS
Apart from his vulpine ears and tail, Nilen appears as a fairly mundane human with tanned, weather worn skin and dirty blonde hair. He is often dressed in cloth robes and wrappings meant to breathe well, but stave off sun and sand from his place of origin.
TECHNIQUES
LIGHT SPARKING ATTACK || DESERT DANCE || STARTER TECH
Description: The only technique that Nilen created himself, it is a combination of precise use of illusions. He starts by doing the steps of a dance meant to mimic the flow of sand back and forth on the dunes, moving freely with the wind, and begins to create stationary visions of himself in various positions and steps along the dance. Each progressive step amps up his speed a little more until he is moving faster than the eye can see. As this happens, his rapid steps begin to kick up sand, adding further visual distraction and to obscure his actual movements even further. Using these illusions and obfuscation, he will rush his opponent with a barrage of several wild blows from different directions so that it will appear as if he is both surrounding his opponent and also nowhere at all.

LIGHT ATTACK || PRICKLY PELAGE || STARTER TECH
Description: Nilen focuses his spirit magic into the fur of his tail(s). This turns his fur from soft and fluffy to incredibly sharp, pointy, and stiff like spikes or barbs. He can then flick his tail(s) to launch a barrage of needle-like hairs or he can slam a target with his tails up close to deliver the needle-like hairs directly.

MEDIUM DEFENSE || SAND SHROUD || STARTER TECH
Description: By channeling his spirit magic and calling on the essence of the desert, Nilen can create a miniature sandstorm around himself as a form of defense to repel or deflect incoming attacks.

KP Cost: 4 KP
Variants: Shield
HEAVY DEFENSE || VULPINE VEIL || STARTER TECH
Description: Nilen uses a sudden surge of spirit magic all around his body to create an area of immense visual distortion. It will appear to others as if the heat of the sun is rippling off the ground around him so much so that his form begins to waft and waver like smoke in the wind. His visage will become almost nebulous. He will then dart around as quickly as possible to completely throw off an opponent to make it incredibly difficult to discern his exact location within the visual distortion so that he can escape even excessively powerful attacks.
Power: 120%
KP Cost: 6 KP
Variants: Evasive
MEDIUM ATTACK || FOX FIRE || STARTER TECH
Description: Nilen's eyes glow pale blue and he focuses his spirit into a orb of blue flame. It can be created and held in one of his hands or on the tip(s) of his tail(s). The spirit fire is then launched at a target. If it should make contact and do sufficient damage from the initial sear, it will ignite upon them and burn for two more turns to deal residual damage.
Power: 50%
KP Cost: 4 KP
Variants:Bleed(Reflavored to Burn)
UTILITY || TWIN TAILS || STARTER TECH
Description: By focusing his spirit magic into his tail and bending his essence in tandem with illusion magic to mimic the appearance of his tail, Nilen is able to turn his one tail into two and can even use that magic to manipulate them both like fully functional limbs to use for combat.

UTILITY || ESSENCE EMPATHY || STARTER TECH
Description: Through years of training in focusing his own spirit for use in the magic used by his tribe, Nilen has learned to 'feel' the spirits of other beings and can even gauge their strength relative to his own. This allows him to sense all living beings without the Anti-Sense trait. Higher ki signatures are easier to sense and can be sensed at greater distances than lower ones.
Power: 00%
KP Cost: 0 KP
Variants:N/A
UTILITY || MAGIC MATERIALIZATION || 'Ki for Dummies' Guidebook #1
Description: Nilen's training with the use of his tribe's spirit magic has granted him the ability to craft just about any item from his magic that he can think of. It has to be something he's familiar with and understands, and larger objects or more finely crafted items take more time and energy to create.

THREADS
1) Desert Nomads || Participants: Nilen , Azoth Icepeak
Shortly after leaving his nomadic tribe in search of new experiences, Nilen happens upon an Arcosian at a desert oasis. Nilen is cautiously curious about the Arcosian. After a surprisingly friendly chat, he discovers that this Arcosian is called Azoth, and is the Emperor of his people. Once it's clear that he's not an aggressor and after a silly interaction with one of Azoth's robot servants, the Arcosian offers Nilen a chance to travel with him to explore various planets throughout the stars. Having never left the desert or his tribe before today, Nilen was shocked at the possibility. In spite of this, the desert fox agreed to accompany Azoth and thanked him for the chance.
2) Unfamiliar Cuisine || Participants: Nilen, Jagaimo
Shortly after arriving on Plant, Nilen spent time trying to familiarize himself with the Saiyan Capitol. He got lost and wound up in the slums in search of a place to eat. A friendly saiyan named Jagaimo pulled him out of a rather foul smelling alley and lead him down the road to one of her favorite local eateries. Along the way she explained that you're just as like to get into a fist fight after a meal as not. Nilen didn't feel like he had much choice since he was really in need of something to eat, so he went along with her anyway. Sure enough, a fight broke out when some locals decided they didn't enjoy the presence of someone that associated with a certain Arcosian Emperor. Jagaimo backed Nilen up in the scuffle, and in spite of a numbers disadvantage the pair were able to lay the rabble out. Nilen was left bruised and exhausted with proverbial egg on his face as Jagaimo then revealed she'd put money on their winning the fight, and the whole thing was her plan all along. She did pay for his meal with her winnings, though, and promised to fight him herself the next time they met. The two parted ways after things calmed down, and Nilen was left with a lot of confusing thoughts to unpack.
3) Hey, you. You’re finally awake || Participants: Crotona , Nasu , Sharizya , Nilen .
Nilen became homesick after arriving on planet Plant, and in his search for some kind of familiar scenery to his desert home he found himself being ambushed by green creatures in the Saiba Wastes. During his skirmish with the cretins, he accidentally stumbled upon an injured Konatsian and a Saiyan that had just found her.
4) The Magic Within || Participants: Nilen , Renkon
While staying at a tavern in Tarbel Village, a Saiyan named Renkon saw Nilen using magic to craft a knife to carve his food. Renkon approached Nilen curiously, and the two had a conversation concerning the nature of magic in general. Renkon revealed that he had magical abilities, but hadn't learned to fully control them yet, which was the reason for his inquiry since Magic is a rare gift among Saiyans and finding a teacher was proving difficult. The Earthling was no great sage, but he gave what advice and information that he could, then the two parted ways.
5) Paradise on Plant? || Participants: Nilen , Korado
With minimal coin and no steady employment, Nilen resorted to the old ways of hunting for food. Normally those tactics were reserved for emergency situations, but the Earthling was accustomed to living off the land anyway, so it didn't feel dire to him. However, he was unfamiliar with the local flora and fauna of planet Plant, and so he struggled to determine which types of vegetation were edible and which were not. Thankfully, he bumped into a biologist named Korado who was researching the wildlife of the Berri Forest. Nilen inquired about what was safe to eat, and Korado offered advice. Nilen offered to help him gather samples for his research in exchange for his aid.
