Ise had not actually anticipated anything of interest on this trip to the Sadala markets, mostly she had been planning to visit one of the trophy shops to inspect the wares, see if any of them had any particularly unique or interesting patterns. Dead things were a unique anomaly for her senses they still held a vague spark of what they had been in life though that often depended on how powerful or unique the thing had been in life as far as she could tell. To find something that still retained that spark meant it might actually be worth purchasing.

And so Ise had made her way here and spent a bit of time exploring, until she sensed a surprisingly strong power signature, one attached to a rather unique pattern. It was mostly normal, probably Saiyan or Earthling at a guess but it was the strange qualities it had that caught her attention. To Ise EVERYTHING had a quality a bit like what fire apparently looked like.

However it was not quite as true and intense as flames, she knew that much from actually using her abilities around flames. They very clearly were MORE fiery. This person however had energy with qualities almost identical to actual fire.

There was also the other interesting fact that he was being followed by a void in Ise’s senses.

Usually Ise would simply assume it to be a machine, a robot or perhaps an Android like Kayfor, but the more she observed the Fire-Man and gained a bit more context on the Void the more certain she became that whatever it was it was not an Android of any sort, with her focus on the general area of the Void she could tell it lacked a particularly distinct scent of metal and its movements made sounds not quite like she would expect from a heavy metallic being, instead it made strange noises occasionally similar to an Arcosian, apart from when it spoke of course.

Based entirely off of the way the Void spoke Ise assumed ‘it’ was a woman though how exactly she was completely negating her energy signature was a mystery, even WEAK people were discernable but this woman just… had nothing.

Ise mulled over what to do for a long few moments while she simply stood around starting ar the pair, or more accurately staring at the Fire-Man and using him as a point of reference to find the Void Woman whenever she moved somewhere that lacked contextual sounds and scents to keep easy track of her.

With a sigh she stepped forward hoping not to bump into the Void Woman as she approached the man “Excuse me, this is almost certainly a strange question, but what are you and is there a woman or other being around you? In…” Ise frowned as she made an effort to find something of the woman as she pointed generally at where the Void Woman should be “that direction?”

Hazel wasn't aware of the young saiyan approaching them when she was engrossed in the unique plant selection this planet offered, having a brief conversation with the stall merchant on medicinal properties of the flora offered. She picked out a few, receiving them in a long paper bag after her purchase.

She floated up to lean over Derry's shoulder with a small bundle of herbs she placed under his nose, "Derry Derry! Look, smell this one! Smells like lavender lily but looks totally different with properties similar to glowworm moss! It'll be nice to use it since it smells better," There was a chance Derry wouldn't be super familiar with the alchemical plants she was naming, but the dried herbs she shoved into his face would carry a lovely strong floral scent.

It took her a moment to realize Derry was conversing with someone, a young female saiyan, "Oh~ Making friends? Trying to 'adopt' another one?" She chuckled while poking fun at the fact Derry was already the guardian on one young saiyan, while elbowing his shoulder. The young female seemed to have very dark glasses, but Hazel didn't think much of it at the moment, "Well Ello there~"

"Hazel? Talking to children? I hope you don't plan on eating this one," a dry voice coming from beside Derry and Hazel, causing Hazel's attention to snap away to a fairly tall dragon woman with short white hair with light green tips and red scales, she seemed to have a few robotic bits, and much like Hazel this figure didn't have an energy signature.

"Wh- Wha? Hawthorne!" Hazel's voice went from confusion to surprised joy, as she floated to practically tackle the other dragon female to the stone market ground before lifting Hawthorne off her feet, then dropping the taller woman to stand, "Also I only did that once! One time!" Hazel clarified to her younger sister. Hawthorne yawned, "Whatever you still did it," then smirked at her older red headed sister.

Literally almost forgetting the young woman and Derry even existed behind them, Hazel paused, "Ah whoops sorry, this is my younger sister Hawthorne," slightly awkwardly introducing her to Derry and the stranger.

As Hazel was looking around the stall and searching for a few new kinds of herbs, Derry was keeping a close eye on his surroundings. Before long, his attention is taken off of his surroundings by the demon as she takes a bundle of herbs and moves them towards his nose, asking the crime boss to take a sniff. He knew what lavender was, but this whole glowworm moss stuff was completely foreign to him. She does have a point, though: These herbs do smell pretty nice. It was pretty strong considering that it was just a bundle of herbs, but still rather pleasant. "Huh, that does actually smell pretty nice," Derry comments as his attention is taken away yet again, this time by the saiyan.

The saiyan gives the two of them her greetings and gives them a nod. Derry returns the favor by giving her a nod before Hazel teases him about adopting someone else. His cheeks blush a bit in embarrassment before turning around and stating, "H-Hazel, please don't say that in front o' strangers. I literally just met her." Before he could even turn back towards the saiyan, another figure shows themselves to the trio. The newcomer seems to know Hazel given how she knows the demon's name, though she refers to both Derry and the saiyan as 'children.' Judging from her appearance, it's obvious that she too was a demon, though she does bear some similarities with Hazel, such as the scales and tail. Could they be a part of the same species?

Before Derry could ask the newcomer for her name, Hazel reveals the other demon's identity as Hawthorne before diving in for a hug. The two get off of the ground before Hazel clarifies that she's only eaten a child once, which certainly makes the crime boss raise an eyebrow. "I... don't even wanna know," Derry interrupts before moving in towards Hawthorne. Hazel states that Hawthorne is her younger sister, which takes Derry a bit by surprise. He gives the other demon a little smile before extending his hand out and stating, "Well, pleasure to meet ya. The name's Derrick Ottoy, friends call me Derry." 

Whether or not the demon would shake his hand, Derry turns back towards the saiyan, who introduces herself as Ise Wintergreen. Ise... Ise... Where has he heard that name before? He'll think about it later, since right now Ise was explaining the fact that she can't actually see, or at least not in the way everyone else here does. Derry had a slight feeling given how dark those visors were, but it was interesting to hear her talk about the auras the three of them have. "Well, the fire's a bit easy to explain," Derry comments as he snaps his fingers and makes a small pink flame appear on the tip of his index finger. Ise can't exactly see the flame with her eyes, but perhaps she could sense it or feel the heat. "That name though... Ise... I've heard of it before, but where?"

Ise tilted her head as Hazel made it seem as if she possessed the ability to actively block out her energy signature. She VERY much hoped that was some sort of unique talent and not something that could be taught, while she could still roughly tell when such a person was around it was FAR more work and not something Ise was particularly eager to have as a common occurrence.

Hazel soon released whatever she was doing to hide her power and very abuprly she came into sharp focus for Ise, not nearly as powerful as the Earthling or herself but rather impressively intense, the vaguely threatening nature of her energy even managed to get Ise to take a step back half expecting an attack though it became apparent that Hazel was making no moves to do so.

As Ise got a better feel for her energy it became clear to her and to an extent Hawthorn held some similarities to Zerori and Zriracha. How interesting.

Ise chuckled as ‘Derry’ made an effort to introduce himself Hawthorn only to be almost entirely ignored by the woman, she seemed to only have any particular respect or care for Hazel, it made Ise curious on the why. Was she just not fond of Earthlings? Not fond about something about Derry that Ise could not pick up on? Not fond of non-Demons?

“Your energy is interesting Miss Hazel, it has a familiar feel to my friend’s Mother, Zriracha” Ise decided not to outright ask if she was a Demon, the fact Hazel could hide and often chose to hide her energy might mean she had reason to do so, perhaps others had recognized what she was and caused her issues? Framing things so that it was clear she knew someone similar and had no issue with them would hopefully keep it from seeming like she had issue with what Hazel was.

Derry showed off the reasons for his pattern’s strange nature creating a puff of fiery energy. Strangely he apparently knew of her somehow? And not of her family name, but of her in particular. “Would you by chance know my friend Zerori? Or perhaps my Father Hibernal?” The second was less likely, surely her Father would have made enough impact to make the memory more clear?
