After Zerori and Zriracha’s impromptu meeting with Phakk, actually managing to snag a rather nice (if a bit small) place to rest that had amenities, the two Demons were back at it again in the hustle and bustle of Hachi City. With extra time on their hands Zerori had finally managed to ask some rather important questions about her Father. They were at a small park - well, small by their standards - that boasted of a variety of flora that had been ‘hydroponically’ created to try and keep the authentic and rare flowers of Plant’s culture alive. Along with the various gardens that littered the area machines of not just the exercise variety but… mathematical ones were placed in kiosks everywhere. To say the least, it was one of the strangest sights Zerori had seen BUT it did the job of giving the two something to do while they talked.
“So, you’re telling me that the picture I described to you is ACTUALLY Dad? Seriously?!” Zerori exclaimed, chilling on top of the roof of one of the covered kiosks while her mother tried her hand at the difficult ‘games’ the Tuffles had intended for their young. “Why didn’t you just tell me what he looked like?”
The Satyr grimaced as the sound of her getting the problems shown on the screen wrong time and time again buzzed irritatingly before she answered, “Sixteen years is, to most mortals, a long time. Time enough to change drastically and, as I told you before- Ugh, blasted machine,” Zriracha grumbled, stepping away from it as the solutions to the problems danced tauntingly on the screen. “-I lost contact with him at some point during that time as well. I’m not a ShinJin, Zerori.”
“Yeah, okay, got that part,” The hybrid grumbled, slightly amused by her Mother’s failure at the game before she rolled over onto her back. “Well… it’s like you said. He’s not here. Apparently, he’s on another planet after going missing? It doesn’t look like we’re gonna find anything else here except for more trouble-”
She could hear Zriracha’s smirk, “-not entirely a bad thing. He might have let you down but Yangcong is doing exactly as I expected.” Chaos with little to no effort on her part? How could she not be pleased?
“Yeah. Great,” Zerori deadpanned, glaring up at the sky with growing aggression before she growled and threw up a small blast that would soar like a rocket before harmlessly exploding into a cute little firecracker in the shape of her face… well, a cartoony version, anyway. She’d been practicing her illusions.
