His teeth were barring and gritted as he watched her effortlessly slow herself despite his efforts to make things harder on her, and all he could do was keep bringing the platform down on her, staring a hole in her now. It was futile however, and once again his attempts to use his magic were shrugged off, causing something inside him as if a lever had been pulled. It wasn't immediately obvious from his demeanor, but inside his blood was beginning to boil.
His body fell loose as the platform lost all momentum, leaving Ward standing with his arms at his side, fists gripped tight. His senses could pick up the spike in power from his opponent once again, but instead of trying to hide or protecting himself he began walking towards them slowly and purposefully. With ease the platform and what was above was disintegrated as the blasts began to fly around the area, some barely missing him, one smacking him hard in the shoulder only slowly him down for a moment, but still moving forward. It wasn't until he started hearing the screams from the crowd that he was distracted turning to see more than a few people being hit with the same blasts and realized what was happening.
The slow methodical walk immediately turned into a full sprint, but was quickly slowed yet again by blast after blast. More and more began to strike him and his running turned into having to raise his arms and protect himself, but he couldn't take another or it was going to end poorly and quickly. Both upper arms raised as the bottom two lowered but all outstretched, and in front of him a white barrier of energy outstretched across the width of his body, block the majority of the blows, but now he was being pushed back. Once again, much like his opponent, his power level spiked as the barrier widened and thickened, but still the blasts were pushing him back.
The push was stronger the longer he tried holding his ground, but the attacks become more concentrated and his barrier was giving way. It only took two for his defense to stop and send him back. The first hit his barrier and it was enough for his strength to give just for a second, but for that second another blast got through. Catching him right in the chest and knocked him off balance and destroying his stance, posture and defense completely. What came next was a rapid succession of blasts to the chest that took him not only off his feet but flying backwards.
Ward was hurt, stunned, but far from out of the fight. He might not have looked it but he was stubborn and he was sturdy, and not he was pissed off. His hands outstretched to his sides as he clapped loudly, erecting a set of barrier walls in front of him blocking and slowing the rest of the incoming projectiles to buy himself time. All four hands were constantly moving now as he was desperately working on creating more intricate things than simple walls, and behind him close to the edge of the stage as he was still airborne a large hand appeared and grasped him, stopping him from moving further. It pulled back with the motion both right arms were doing and then swung forward mimicking throwing as Ward was slung forward.
Each wall had been destroyed much like all the others, and turned to dust much like all the others, but what was left of them was waved away as Ward came flying towards his opponent, thrown by the hand that was open on the opposite side of the platform. Both his fists were outstretched as he aimed to nail Kon right in the gut with all the force he was thrown.
