Budokai Semi-Finals - Kon vs Ward

There was a scream, something that confused her for the briefest of moments, although she didn't pay much attention to it. If he was suffering for some reason, maybe that would give him enough reason to give up the fight at let her beat him up. But the moment the wall began to crumble a strange sight awaited her. The proper man that she saw before was now replaced by what appeared to be a four-armed beast. Well, whatever. Two arms or four, it didn't matter, since they just meant more limbs for her to mangle in the end if he used them to defend. There was no way that having four hands would allow Ward to catch all of her attacks, especially with how much she was trying to overwhelm him at this point.

After the initial flurry of ki blasts had mostly died down, it now seemed like he was carrying a bulky shield. Kon let out of snort at such a strange sight. He really did bring a props to a fight, meaning that he was back to messing with her again. Why was it that everyone appear to play with her rather than showing their strength outright? It was first Kythl'gneg, then Mister Steel put up a great fight before he rung out, then Crotona who gave her the most run for her money. Oh now, now she was getting even more furious. By now she had used nearly all of the power that her body could expend, unable to gather even more from her anger yet still she dug up some more. Such power was already overflowing, more than her body could handle. Her muscles began to bulk, even ripping the jacket that she wore. Letting out a bestial scream, an aura began to surround her body, as she once again launched herself at Ward, arm reared back. Her plan was to put as many dents in that shield as possible until he was forced to throw it away.

The shield gave way to her blows, slowly crumbling, although not exactly at the speed that she wanted. That didn't matter. It was like they said in those dumb martial arts movies she saw occasionally about how the biggest mountains fell down to time or whatever. Ward could hide behind the shield, but eventually it would crumble, leaving him completely defenseless and ready for attacking. Her entire mind was solely focused on breaking through the shield completely, with her mind occupied by nothing else. Eventually, her fist pierced through the metal shield, and finally at her opponent. Thank goodness, that took forever and she was getting sick of punching metal.

Seeing how there were two pillars behind the metal shield rather than her opponent like she initially anticipated frustrated her even more. Letting out another loud shriek, Kon was done letting him play around with her. This time, she was going to make sure that all of the tricks up his sleeves would fail. By now, she had been consumed by her anger. She could hear her opponent charging up to her right behind her, she knew where he was and she was going to make sure that he was going to pay. 

The aura around her began to flare up once again, growing increasingly bright. She could feel her entire body filled to the brim with energy, more than she thought was possible before. It was almost painful, feeling as if her entire body and mind was on fire. There was no way she could handle all this power, but seeing how her opponent was rapidly approaching her, she had no need to hold it in. 

Planning on getting Ward before he reached her, she ran towards the wall once again, intending to shattering both it and her opponent's face with another jump kick. However, the force contained in such a kick was too great to be contained in just that single motion. The remaining energy spilled out in a shockwave around by them. Even the audience could feel the shockwave, pushing them back and even slightly painful as well. As he was still in the arena though, if Ward would still feel the full force of the shockwave if he did nothing to dodge or reduce the attack. With this attack, Kon had calmed down slightly although she was still standing strong albeit annoyed again that he was not hiding behind it. However, she was still curious to see how her opponent fared with that attack.

Once all the debris was settled, what Kon was hoping to see was her opponent unconscious on the floor. Yet to her fury, he was still standing, clothes in tattered and a deep cut in his chest, but not the mess that she envisioned in her head. Maybe he was frustrated at her, but right now she didn't care. In her eyes, she was losing. All her attempts to bring him down kept getting foiled by his tricks. It didn't seem like anything she did was capable of stopping him to begin with. Why? Why was it like this and why couldn't she do anything. She tried to overpower his stupid tricks with her force, yet every time there seemed to be an answer to it.

"Just go down already!" She shrieked, ready to face the shinjin's flurry of blows with her own body. This time, she wasn't going to lose to him on a head to head fight no matter what. As she braced her body, ready to parry his attack or perhaps even prepare a counterattack of her own, something flew into her stomach. She let out a cough, muffled by the mask that she wore. Fortunately she had braced herself for an attack if anything, so she was able to keep her footing, although she was now doubled down over the new pain within her stomach. One arm instinctively clutched the area, trying her best to reduce the pain whilst the other rose up, trying her best to at the very least defend herself. That bastard, still using party tricks. However, after her previous attack, she was exhausted and needed time to gather her energy. She just needed enough energy just for one final move.

This was her last resort, and it had to hit, even if it meant the end of her.

It took her a few heaves to recover enough for herself to look back up. Kon was lucky that her opponent was a fool, not taking advantage of when she was prone from the initial pain of attack to further hurt her. The fact that he kept reacting to everything defensively rather than offensively like she'd prefer from an opponent was still in her mind, although it had since slid to the back of it. Sure, it bothered the hell out of her, but at this point what didn't? 

While she still hadn't gained enough of her strength to fully retaliate with another attack like she so desperately wanted to do, it was still enough to react to any move that he would take against her. As much as she hated being put on the defensive, she was quickly losing strength and the timer was slowly ticking downward. She had to finish this as soon as possible, although at this point it really felt as if she was trying to break through the world's strongest shield that even her own strength couldn't break through. Was this match going to end with another loss for her? Well at the very least, if she had any say in it Kon wasn't going to allow it.

Slowly, her body moved back into a fighting position, first waiting to see what Ward was going to do next. At the very least, she just needed to make sure she had the time to act. She had to regain as much strength as she possibly could before she would lose this match completely.

As the seconds passed by (which felt more like hours) Kon could feel the tension within the air growing thicker and thicker. Ward hadn't made a move yet, which was both concerning whilst simultaneously relieving, giving her the precious few seconds she needed to regain her strength. Of course, that gave him some time to regain strength of his own as well, but at this point she didn't mind. Although she was tired and injured, she still had enough juice within her body to continue going. The clock was ticking down, but the fight wasn't over yet. Until it was down to the last second, there was no way she planned on yielding. Hell, she didn't even plan on yielding even if it was over, wanting to continue despite everything. 

Finally, Ward made his move, sending ki blasts towards her. Although it did force her into action once again, it wasn't too much hard work. Kon poured the ki into her hands, utilizing it to neutralize the force of the incoming blast with her own punches. She could hardly feel the impact between the two, although granted she could hardly feel anything at this point. Finally came the palm strike, something that Kon took with stride. Sure, there were four arms coming towards her direction, two of which that were left unaccounted for, but that was fine. Her body was strong enough to endure it Her ki covered hands met his top two hands. With that she tried to dig her heels into the ground, keeping him from pushing her forward. All she could do was grit her teeth as his bottom two hands hit her exposed torso, aggravated her wounds, causing her to wince underneath her mask but stand strong still. Just a little more time...

Although her opponent pushed with all his strength, Kon managed to muster up the force to equally neutralize the strength he was putting in to push her off. However, the moment she began to slide, she would dig her heels even further into the ground, until her feet sunk into the floor, forcibly keeping her grounded. Eventually though, it seemed as if her opponent was growing frustrated, seeing how he was unable to push her any further, eventually backing away. At this point, she couldn't help but let out an annoyed "tch" seeing how he wanted to take the easy way out.

All this time, he felt like he was taunting her, yet only now he decided to do something new? It was irritating, but even then Kon knew that she could stand it. There were still cards up her sleeve, strength that she knew that she had although no matter how hard she tried, there was no way she could access it. Although the timer might have been ticking down, there was still so much for her to do before the match ended. There was no way in hell she was going to let it end like this if she had any say in this matter.

Before she could even take a step forward, the ground she was standing on shot up, rising up who knew how high. Typically a height like this wouldn't scare her, seeing how she could fly. But in this competition that was completely out of the question. Sure, she could jump down, but the injuries she sustained from the impact far outweighed the benefits. Instead, Kon had another plan in mind. Jumping up slightly she would suddenly bring all her limbs down on the pillar, causing it to crumble underneath her weight. She planned on destroying the damn thing by continually pounding on it until she reached a safe height. However, with her current strength she was making rapid pace. It wouldn't be long until the pillar was nothing more than a pile of rubble.
