Derry was calm once again now that he realizes Hazel is safe now, and right now that's all he needs. She brings up how they first met back in the alleyway when she emerged from that crimson pool, and Derry looks back and seems at least a bit confused. The liquids inside certainly looked different, though maybe the pool in the alleyway was stained from her blood. After all, her injuries back then were far more grievous than what she suffered here according to the demon. "Yeah, it just... looked a bit different, ya know," Derry comments as Hazel still seems fatigued from resting in the water.
According to Hazel, she built this place about a week ago after gathering some magical ingredients with Yangcong before demon hunters attacked. He wraps his arms around Hazel as best he could and hugs her tight, yet still keeping in mind that she's still a bit weak at the moment. "If any o' those bastards pop up again, please tell me," Derry mutters, "and I'll make sure they're taken care of personally." He pulls back and rests his hands on her shoulders as she lifts herself up while talking about repairing that house she mentioned. Hazel thinks about resting before working on the house, and Derry replies, "Couldn't agree more. If ya need the manpower, I'm around, and if it's money ya need, well I've got that too. Let's not worry 'bout it, though. Right now, ya need some sleep. Let's get goin'."
As Hazel was attempting to squeeze out all of the water out of her hair, Derry turns towards the entrance to the room. He pauses for a moment before turning around and asking, "You... need to be carried? Reckon you're still a bit tired and all that." It really wasn't like Derry to just offer anyone a ride back to their rooms, but something was, well, different when it comes to Hazel. There was something real special between the two of them, he just knew it, and seeing that gem was enough proof for him. He just wants to make sure Hazel is safe after all that she's been through today.
