Hazel knew she was going to have to meet one on one with Derry after what happened during the private meeting they had before she left for her own personal mission. She had it meant to get up into his face but the frustration between him yelling at her and Yangcong's Idiocracy she had lost her temper on them both. He was also aware she would have to more thoroughly explain the situation that transpired between them that led up to the current debacle. She approached his office with an item wrapped in leather gripped tightly in her hands, she looked down at it warily. She had brought the collar with her, figuring it was better in the hands of an ally than an enemy, these kinds of magical relics were impossible for her to destroy herself as they were protected against demon magic.
Plus the thin chance she ever ended up ravenous this would be the best way to protect her fellow snakes from… well, her. Instead of barging her way in like she normally did she timidly stopped at his door and knocked on the door frame to signal her arrival. "Hey look I need to talk to you about what happened the other day. I know I didn't get a chance to further explain it but I wanted to. There really is nothing between me and Yangcong but that's the problem he thinks the opposite he seems to have mistaken the contract I made with him almost as a relationship plus the fact we were intimate ONCE, I needed the spare energy, but at this point I've put down clear boundaries," she sighed out slowly finally getting it off her chest, pretty odd for a character like herself to have to create boundaries with somebody. She seemed slightly regretful for not telling him this earlier, she just didn't want him to think she was keeping secrets or trying to betray his trust.
She finally completely walked into the office and if he would take it, handed him the leather bound object, inside would be a worn green oxidized copper collar with engravings of magical sigils. "When I left to get items from my old home I was attacked by more demon hunters, this ….." for a moment she almost looked pained when referring to the object, "Was what they were able to use last time to nearly kill me, for this item to resurface after so many years I now know why these demon hunters have been so persistent. I may have done bad things but I've never done anything bad enough to warrant generations to hunt and search for me…. I believe I've been betrayed by one of my own kind." To admit this pained her even more she had always, solely, blamed the humans for her demise and they were easy to hate, but the realization of one of her own kind sending them after her like their filthy hunting dogs after a fox, she no longer felt righteous in her hate towards them.
"I figured this item was better in the hands of an ally rather than an enemy, if anything were to happen to me that would cause me to turn unwillingly this item would take away all the power I have, it has no key as the lock is magical, it only reacts to those not from the demon realm or the one that created it." Her tone throughout this whole interaction was nowhere near her normal chipper self, in fact she almost spoke rather maturely and elegantly like the noble she had once been raised to be. Although this matter did require some seriousness, as a demon hunting her meant a demon may be hunting the snakes, that was if they even knew of her current whereabouts considering the only times she had been attacked was out looking for her relics or items and surprisingly not in the city.
Her opalescent blue eyes watching what he would do and waiting to hear what he would say on the subjects she had brought to his attention.
