Another evening, another opportunity to swindle willing people out of their money. If Derry was perfectly honest, he really should've invested in this sort of thing earlier in this career since he severely underestimated how many people would basically be giving the gangster money, plus it's completely legal. He doesn't even have to worry about shutting this place down due to legal issues as long as he keeps Dirty Snakes business away from the place. Still though, there are some occasional downers that start to drag down the whole mood of the place and make a scene in front of the other customers, and this time around was no different.
Nearby one of the many rows of slot machines, these one being specifically themed around the 'Adventures in the Arcose Tundra' movie that came out recently. A lone demon with red skin and dressed in a black suit was slamming his fists into one of the machines and has made a rather large dent on the control pad. There were no other security guards around at the time, so Derry did the natural thing and pressed a single button on his scouter sunglasses. He then mutters, "This is Derrick Ottoy requestin' assistance over at Slots Lane Three." He presses the same button again to end the transmission before approaching the rowdy individual.
"You seem a bit troubled, stranger," Derry comments as he walks up to the seven foot demon, "Mind tellin' me what the problem is?" The demon pauses for a moment before turning his attention onto the crime boss. Veins were popping out of the man's forehead and his face was drenched in sweat. To Derry, the demon is visibly screaming 'I just lost all of my damn money and I'm only calling it rigged now." Of course the machines are rigged with slim chances. Clearly he hasn't been to a casino before.
The demon leans forward and presses a single finger onto the gangster chest before muttering angrily, "Do you know how much I've lost on this damn machine? More than this building is worth, that's for sure. I can tell you boys rigged this machine, so give me back my money." "Sir, you lost your money fair and square. You knew the risk goin' in, and ya lost. Besides, I highly doubt that whole 'more than this building is worth' claim, considerin' I own the damn place. Also, I'm gonna need ya to pay for damages. 'Course, I just heard ya ran outta money, so we could always start with you workin' here until you ca-"
Derry wouldn't even get a chance to react as the demon suddenly struck him in the face with his fist. The crime boss takes the blow and looks straight back into the demon's eyes. The man's power level was only at a measly eight hundred, which was absolutely nothing compared to Derry's own strength. "Oh, and add assaultin' the CEO of the Snake Eyes Casino chain to that list right there. I think that's gonna be an extra, oh, let's say six weeks o' workin' here." It was actually kind of cute seeing the demon try to act so tough around someone he really shouldn't be messing with. Derry was merely just biding his time until security shows up, but little did he know that someone else would also be arriving on the scene.
