CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE:
Beneath his helmet is a scarred and battle worn face. His short grey hair complimenting his grey beard nicely. He bares a number of scars, but the prominent one is under his right eye, stretching along his cheek to his ear. His body is covered in similarly deep scars, each having their own unique looks from the number of wounds he has suffered over the years.
Baalmog is massive, stranding at 9 feet tall, wielding a body of muscle. He weighs roughly 461 pounds. His skin is tanned, his body covered in battle scars.
BACKGROUND: Baalmog was born to a small clan of warriors, their customs being of victory or death. His father was an honorable warrior, his mother a shaman of his clan. He grew up with the ideals of valor, of honor and glory. He heard tales of his father charging into battle, bringing death to his enemies and striking fear into their hearts.
He dreamed of his day to stand in the lime light, to be as great as his father. Till his father was killed in a duel, poisoned by a rival and slain before his eyes. He watched as his father's remains were buried in a place of honor, where it was said the spirits went to a paradise.
Baalmog was the last to leave his father's grave, and spent the rest of his youth being taunted by the children. He was tormented by them, hounded by the defeat of his father while the son of the victor gloated to him. Yet he did not falter under their attempts to bully him. When they assaulted him, he fought back tooth and nail, often times coming home beaten and bruised.
Yet he did not relent, the death of his father spurred the warrior on, his training intensified till his twentieth birthday. He worked hard, proving himself year after year to the elders. At the age of 20, Baalmog got his revenge on his tormentor. The son of the victor pitted against him in single combat, and Baalmog crushed the man beneath his feet.
As the final blow was struck, he stared the man who killed his father in the eyes. A silent vow to slay him for what he had done. Years passed, and Baalmog proved himself time after time. Growing stronger by the day, fighting off rival clans, and participating in their raids.
It wasn't till the clan had a sudden shift in leadership that everything went down hill. Corrupt leaders, dishonorable warriors and limited food supplies were pushing the clan to its limits. Held together at the seams by the shamans who spoke of the future. Yet the leaders spread ill word through the tribe, splitting it a part with retreats, excuses and weakness.
Yet the final straw was when his mother, a prominent voice against the leaders, was assassinated. Killed in the night by a cowardly warrior... This caused Baalmog to rise up, challenging the leaders in front of the tribe using the old rite of combat. Yet they attempted to gang up on him, bringing his body guards against Baalmog. Yet they still lost to him, albeit barely. Baalmog was nearly killed by them, yet he succeeded.
Baalrog had earned the right to lead them, yet turned them down. Refusing to lead weak sheep who would follow cowards. Baalmog left the follow week after recovering enough to travel. The Oni took to the roads, travelling across the lands, honing his arts.
He travelled for years, moving from place to place, earning his keep where ever he went. His deeds earning him a number of titles and the fear of those he fought. However, Baalmog wasn't prepared for the weakness of most warriors... Love. Baalmog found a kidnapped woman, a commoner known as Kuni.
He settled down with her shortly after her rescue. Taking her hand in marriage, yet Baalmog was not a good man. Despite his best efforts, he found himself short tempered and picking fights to regularly to settle down permanently. So Baalmog would set out once more, his wife understanding but saddened he would not stay with her.
Unfortunately, Baalmog was unaware he would have two sons born to him while he was away. He would return years later to be greeted by teenage sons. The twins resentful to their father for abandoning them. Baalmog was not his father, not seeing his son's as the future but rather as potential warriors to fight against.
He trained them, increasing their resentment of their father. His actions were not of kindness or of parental nurturing. He wished to raise warriors capable of giving him the fight he craved. Eventually the boy's did just that, wounding their father gravely before running away. Baalmog was bed ridden for weeks from the stomach wound they gave him.
While bed ridden, he learned of their doings. The eldest twin, Hideon, went on to be a killer. He began to kill innocent people, preying on the weak. His youngest twin, Kilan, went on to be a pirate, raiding ships in space. Baalmog had time to consider his actions and decided to determine what kind of man he was, he would travel as well once more. To find out who he was inside.
