Koban!

BACKGROUND: Koban’s parents were pirates and rather ambitious ones at that as every success simply emboldened them to push for a bigger more high profile and as a consequence more lucrative targets, these attacks eventually would lead to their downfall as the frequency and increasingly high profile nature of the attacks drew the attention of the Galactic Patrol. While somewhat powerful they were not so strong that the Patrol would simply let them go due to the risk of dealing with them.

An elite team of Patrollers was dispatched to deal with the issue and deal with it they did, the Patrol squad hit the crew hard during one of there attacks taking them entirely off guard leading to the quick arrest of the majority of the crew, during an investigation of the ship used for the attacks the leader of the squad discovered a three-year-old Koban in the captain's quarters.

Ayoshi, the leader of the squad scooped up young Koban and decided to keep the boy with him for his safety while the rest of the team handled the remainder of the investigation, a child was most definitely not among the things the Patrollers expected to find on the ship and it made things quite a bit more complicated. For a bit of time after things were wrapped up, Koban remained with the Patrol as they first worked to make sure Koban was, in fact, the child of the leaders of the Pirate group and not simply a victim of kidnapping.

Ayoshi volunteered to watch over Koban during this time, of everyone he had been the one best capable of handling the Heran toddler, after everything was sorted out the Patrol then needed to decide what was best to do with Koban, the boys parents either had no other family based on what records the Patrol had or were simply unwilling to give any names.

The easy choice was to simply find a foster agency on a civilized planet to take in the boy and handle the job of relocating him to a proper home, however Ayoshi volunteered to continue watching over the boy himself, he was old enough that retirement would be upon him soon and in the few weeks that Koban had been with them he had grown fond of him.

Life growing up with Ayoshi was good for little Koban, in the few years before Ayoshi fully retired from the Patrol he would spend a lot of time with old friends of Ayoshi on Earth and became good friends with there child Tysco. Koban was raised about as 'normal' as possible in regards to the rather strange family unit assembled between the boy and Ayoshi.

Ayoshi sought to instill a stronge sense of right and wrong in Koban much as his father had done for him, for quite a while as Koban grew older it was assumed the boy would follow in his Father's footsteps and join the Patrol, even as a teen he had made efforts to do good where he and Ayoshi traveled and it only seemed natural that he would pursue that path.

However as adulthood approached Koban began to notice that organizations such as the Patrol had more limits than one might hope for when dealing with doing good, their ability to enforce anything around the major worlds limited by what many of the galactic powers would allow them to do.

And so Koban made a choice, he would NOT follow Ayoshi's path, not directly at least. Instead he would continue to do as he had without allowing anyone to restrict the potential good he could do.

Much of Koban's work has centered on the more low-level planets in the galaxy, helping those in need and earning himself a bit of a reputation while doing so through his friendly personality and his outfit specifically styled in the manner of a Superhero.

With a bit of a reputation established Koban has hopes of more regularly taking his work to the 'major' Planets, however with as difficult as it is simply trying to aid the multitude of lower level planets Koban has begun mulling over the idea that perhaps working alone might not be for the best, and that perhaps it might behoove him to pursue something a bit bigger.

With this technique Koban dramatically boosts his natural resilience allowing him to shrug off a lot more damage than usual.

Heavy Sparking Offense || Justice Flash!
Koban grabs his wrist and fires a barrage of energy blasts from his fingertips at an enemy these blasts will swing back around and actively pursue the target as no enemy can escape JUSTICE!
