There had been something interesting to come of the World Martial Arts Tournament, and it was obvious to all. There was a great amount of offworlders currently on planet, crammed into the single city of Papaya all to watch the tournament, and that was a great opportunity to learn of other cultures. What was a bit less obvious, if only a little, was that other offworlders saw this as an opportunity to try and recruit strong fighters to help in their own war efforts against their enemies. What better place to pick up strong combatants than at a Martial Arts Tourney? One such person that Katsu himself had an interest in was a visitor from Planet Plant, who was home to the Tuffles. Cheri, some ranking leader among their kind, had decided to come to Earth, and had even had a TV appearance.
Now, while that might not interest Katsu normally, the Tuffles were known as a very intellectual leaning type of race, with advanced technology that trumped anything Earthlings had yet come up with. Getting involved with them had no downsides as far as Katsu was concerned, even if they were in the middle of a war. There was just too much to learn from them, and Katsu wasn't going to let this massive opportunity pass him up; it was this sort of thing that drew Katsu to the Tournament himself!
So, Katsu would use the public data given to locate where Cheri was most likely to be located, and found that she had actually joined the Tournament. Well that made things easy. Just sneak in to the resting room after her fight that day and ask to speak with her there. So it would go, with Katsu politely knocking on the resting room door after having successfully slipped past all the security in the Tournament grounds, calling out to Cheri through the door, "Greetings Ms Cheri. My name is Katsu Cruor. Would you mind if I came in? I've heard of your efforts to recruit strong combatants here on Earth and was hoping to speak to you about that matter." What might interest Cheri at this juncture was the fact of where they were. In an interior room filled with security as well as dozens of strong fighters who were all skilled at Ki Sensing, and even if Cheri had the skill herself or even a Scouter device they wouldn't pick up an energy signature. It took some level of skill to reach this point without drawing unnecessary attention, and perhaps it was the type of skill that Cheri herself was interested in recruiting?
