CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE:
Leather is a half zoan, half human, Earthling - standing at 6'1 with a fairly muscular build and weighing around 200 pounds. His skin is darkly tanned - near bronze - a result of living in the tropics of the south his whole life. Various scars can be found on his body some older than others - though the most prominent one is the one over his right eye.
Speaking of eyes they are a vibrant, bright, shade of green - his pupils turning into slits when excited or angered only accentuate his beastliness. Though human in appearance for the most part his zoan heritage stands out boldly in the form of his lion ears and tail. As well as his sharper, longer claws, and larger, longer canines.
Clothing wise Leather enjoys dressing good - he has trained himself to fight in clothes that would be considered more cumbersome to other martial artists - though isn't afraid to wear lighter more looser outfits.
He tends to wear trendy yet comfortable ensembles - the more cool or stylish the better. However, sometimes he'll wear less gaudy clothes and wear casual stuff like sporty tees and baggy pants with some boots - usually when he's training or in a fight.

BACKGROUND:
Leather was born to a zoan mother and human father on Earth twenty-eight years ago. His father was a criminal leader - running what was akin to a mafia or a yakuza with various followers and whose fingers were in many crime spots throughout the southern region of Earth. In a trafficking incident - he and his "family" attempted to traffic a bunch of zoans - one who would be his future wife.
Unfortunately for him, the one zoan - a lion one at that - was far too much for them to handle - coming from a martial artist background and knowing how to utilize ki - she easily trounced the criminals ending the trafficking ring in a matter of minutes.
Apparently, she was a plant by the world government put amongst the captured zoans in order to break the crime ring up. As a police officer she easily took them down - leaving a wreck in the process - but enamoring the crime boss to her in the show of her power. He went to jail, however, began to improve himself physically and mentally while doing his time.
Finally let out five years later on good behavior he began a fledging martial artist and even learned to utilize ki himself. The two would meet during a local unofficial tournament - where they would square off - only for the former criminal to be trounced again.
After losing he professed his love to her and much to his shock... he was denied. But he was dedicated and asked her to mentor him as a martial artist. Over the next several years the two would live and train together - only truly separated when she had work.
Eventually, the two would fall in love - after a spar where he finally bested her for the first (and possibly last) time. He would ask for her hand in marriage once again and this time she would accept. The two would move to an expensive and lavish abode on one of the many islands of the southern tropics - where Leather would be born. Life with his family was peaceful yet Leather had a lust for more than what he had with his family.
His mother had retired from the police force but had plenty of money to compensate - so Leather never had to worry about not having anything. Not only that, unbeknownst to her - her husband began doing some criminal work on the side - earning money through less extreme but still criminal acts as he reinstated his crime gang.
Meanwhile Leather was trained by both his parents - his mother's martial arts and his father's skills in finance and street smarts. As he grew older he grew more restless, feeling confined on his island home - he would then start attending a public school when his parents realized he needed to broaden his horizons.
Unfortunately, his crass and violent tendencies made him nothing more than a bully and a thug - as he terrorized his school with his martial arts abilities. It seemed he was falling into the same past his father once had - his charismatic nature and power drawing like-minded people to his cause. Once he graduated school he moved on to other things - however found himself bored with mundane jobs and the like.
He embraced his martial artist heritage in order to not only improve himself but to have fun. However he quickly grew bored of all the weaklings around him. He would ditch his former hanger-ons and followers and would vanish for a few years into the wilderness - only returning once he felt his training had paid off. During his disappearance he traveled the length and breadth of Earth becoming a hitman for hire - his skills in martial arts as well as his heightened senses and drive made him a perfect "fighter for hire".
However, upon returning home after years of busywork and fist fighting he came across his parents bodies mangled and bloodied with various bodies strewn around them. Apparently, his father's criminal past caught up to him as his former cohorts attempted to take him down - however the two didn't go out without a fight, taking several would be killers with them.
Enraged Leather used his network of contacts he formed as a decently known hired fighter and eventually found the gang's hideout. Where he would then murder each and every one of the criminal thugs before burning down the ruins of their base. He would flee into the night running off to find himself - and would become a mercenary as well an informant of sorts.
He would further hone his abilities in ki and physical combat, valuing strength above all things. Eventually he got tired of everything, of the tedium, and the various weaklings. And took himself elsewhere - traveling the world in hopes of better prey, better opponents, even possibly comrades - where he'd come across some powerful and possibly like-minded individuals...

COMBAT INFORMATION
TECHNIQUES:
Light Offensive || Lionheart Barrage
Leather coats his hands - specifically his fingers in his ki before unleashing a flurry of violent slashes. He then follows up with a rushing barrage of punches and finishes off with a kick to the target's sternum. Should this technique deal at least 20% damage, the target takes 10% of their own PL in damage for the next 2 posts.

Light Defensive || Light Step
Using his natural feline grace Leather acrobatically dodges oncoming blows with various sidesteps and deflections to further lessen the damage to dealt to his person. This technique gains +40% to its power, but if an oncoming attack exceeds its effective power, it cannot be dodged with this all-or-nothing variant. Evasive techniques cannot be used to defend allies. This cannot be paired with any other Variants.

Medium Offensive || Solar Shot
Charging up ki within his outstretched open palm - Leather releases a blast of bronze colored ki at the target. When this technique clashes with a technique it gains +10% to it's power, it also cannot be fizzled.

Medium Sparking Offensive || Solar Supremacy
Lifting his arms up Leather creates up to several medium sized ki spheres that circle him. Upon using this attack the spheres spin rapidly before he sets them loose on the opponent one by one in rapid succession. Ending this display with a final large sphere of golden ki to finish it off. If an opponent takes less than 20% damage from this attack, regain half of the KP used to fire it. Stacks with similar effects.

Utility Technique || Ki Sense
A technique that allows you to sense, measure, and differentiate the ki signatures of ki attacks and all living beings without the Anti-Sense trait. Higher ki signatures are easier to sense and can be sensed at greater distances than lower ones. This technique is passive and does not use KP.
Utility Technique || Flight
Grants the user the ability of flight via ki or other means.
