GENERAL TRAITS: Quick Learner, Bare Knuckle Brawler

HOME REGION: Eastern Pastures
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE: Donût is about 4'11" in height, discounting his hair. Despite his short stature, the Earthling is very muscular and broadly built. He also has a mane of dark brown, shoulder-length hair that's been trimmed and styled back into a mullet. Does it clash with the close-trimmed goatee he wears on his face? Perhaps. What DEFINITELY clashes is his usual stage outfit. It consists of an aqua-blue, sleeveless gi-top that's been left open around the chest (revealing a thick carpet of chest hair), orange pants, and hot-pink boots. Along with a pair of cheap Raycon-looking sunglasses. Outside of the ring, he usually wears average clothing... fit tight enough to show off his muscles. As if he's compensating for something.
BACKGROUND: While the Earth is, generally, a very pleasant place to live, there are still some poor and underdeveloped places. There are villages and towns without clean drinking water or power, or schools, or any opportunity. Donût’s parents came from one such village, and desired a better life for their children. Thus, they moved to the Eastern Pastures before Donût was born, to try and get a piece of the promised opportunity.
Unfortunately, that promise rang a bit hollow for Donût’s family. Without any formal education, or paperwork, the only employment they could find was in low-wage grunt-work. The kind that was often under the table. Said work also often dried up during harder times, necessitating a lot of moving around after the next public works project looking for extra labor or the next construction site where the union workers were on strike. With all of the constant moving around, Donût and his siblings struggled to fit in anywhere or keep up with school. Not to mention the constant bullying.
It’s the kind of life that necessitates learning how to fight and take a beating, especially if you’re small. And it also leads to watching a lot of cartoons on TV and going to a lot of matinees. So, with a rather unhealthy diet of martial arts movies, a membership to a martial arts gym, and some spare free-time, Donût began a life of training at the tender age of 8. The next ten years were spent constantly exercising, spying on martial arts classes, practicing strikes and punches, and listening to “inspirational quotes” from professional fighters. As soon as he turned 18, Donût put this training to use on the amateur MMA circuit in East City, taking the stage name of “The Unbreakable Mister Steel” and using the money earned from his fights to help support his family (and pay for college courses).
Initially, Steel would lose more fights than he won, but over the years he slowly got better and stronger. To the point where he was selected for an exhibition match against a man that was supposedly Earth’s strongest boxer (who was in truth a low-power Saiyan deserter hiding out on Earth). In the months leading up to the match, Steel threw himself double-time into his training. He pushed himself past his limits, going from lifting fridges and hauling dumpsters to hefting steel beams at construction sites his father worked on and pulling basic equipment road paving machines. He took beatdown after beatdown from guys twice his size, and even went out into the wilderness to train against actual monsters…
This training wasn’t enough to actually WIN the bout, Steel lost by a few points in a judge’s final decision. However, he lasted ten rounds with a professional fighter and even knocked him around a little. With a hell of a confidence boost from his near-victory, a degree in Political Science, and 1500 Zeni in his pocket, Steel’s decided to travel to the site of the 25th Tenkaichi Budokai and test himself against the best of the best. Plus, if he wins… that’s enough Zeni to set his family up for life!

Utility Technique || Wire-Fu Weirdo
While he hasn’t learned how to fly, Donut has focused a lot of training time on trying to replicate the antics he’s seen in his favorite martial arts movies. Completely unaware that the actors in said film were using wireworks or CGI, he has somehow figured out how to perform all of the incredible jumps and lighter-than-air leaps that he saw on the silver screen.
Utility Technique || Spare Pair
SOMEHOW, no matter how many times his sunglasses break, Donut can always pull out another pair to cover his eyes.
