Shakuhachi found himself further away from the Vegetan capital than ever before. He wanted to take a step that was a bit outside his comfort zone in regards to Plant, especially one towards Tuffle territory. He didn't feel too comfortable actually going in the Tuffle land itself as he did not know how they would react to a foreign Namekian; given how the Saiyans had treated them it was likely that they were vary suspicious of outsiders such as himself.
But Plant was a big place, with plenty of land not expressly controlled by either the Saiyans or Tuffles. One such area was known colloquially as the Saiba Breeding Pits, which as the name suggests was where many of the Saiba creatures were formed. The Namekian wasn't actually quite sure about how the process worked; the wide variety of Saiba creatures made him think that perhaps the were naturally occurring animals which had mutated in some way? If they were engineered by an intelligent species then it would make more sense for one uniform design.
But some of the leftover technology he saw scattered across the wastes made him think that perhaps there was another explanation. It would make sense that the scientifically advanced Tuffles may have taken the beasts and modified them? It's likely that he'd never understand the true extent of the story, or any story that Plant held. He was an outsider; one which had thus far not been welcome. But he was doing his best to try and understand the planet.
As he flew across the wastes he would occasionally stop down near any bunker's or outposts to hastily flick through them; looking for technology or even any signs of life. It wasn't the most interesting job he had given himself but he still felt like maybe there was something he could get out of it. Not just monetarily, but perhaps something much more than that. Not too long ago he had met with a talking Saiba creature who described once having an army that could have taken over the planet; if he could figure out how to harness this technology then perhaps he too could build such a threat.
But everything he came across on this trip seemed to be decayed beyond repair. His engineering skills were a bit lacking; maybe it was just a waste of time. The next shack he ripped through had given him similar results, though he did find small refrigerator; no power but a few bottles of water in it. As he walked outside and leaned against the wall he took a sip and wondered where his next destination would be.
