The Saiyan palace; this was the first time Shakuhachi had laid eyes on it. It was certainly more gaudy than where the leader of his people lived, but maybe the Saiyans had earned that. Their civilization had certainly left it's impression on him; while he had arrived with mostly disdain he could not help but admire certain aspects of their lives. The brutality that they almost seemed to revel in had produced a people which would survive; no matter how this war would end.
He had yet to even step foot in the Tuffle territory of Plant; something kept him here. But what was it? Had he not seen enough of their ways to understand? What was he looking for? Perhaps the one place he had really looked was exactly where he needed to go. Normally he wouldn't be so dumb to try and enter the palace; though at these early hours he assumed it was safe to look around. He was an unknown Namekian after all, but there would no guards around; not outside anyway.
It had a regel feel to no doubt; the kind of feeling that made you think that no matter what happened, it would survive. Even if the Tuffles dropped all manor or ordinates, and leveled this entire side of the planet it would still stand; it represented the Saiyan people well then. It point his own plight into a different view; the battles he had fought against his own kind seemed insignicant to where he was now. Maybe he had been a bit harsh on them, but he lacked the perspective then that he has now. If he could go back and do things differently then maybe he would, but that was useless speculation.
What had been done was over; the focus was on what to do next. As he stood on the steps to uncertainty he wondered if his place was really on Plant, or if he were simply ignoring his true desire. Namek was in his view and yet he... avoided it. It wasn't for fear, and naught for lack of faith. He was at a crossroads; carry on, or go back? One felt like progress, while the other felt like regression; he lacked the guidance needed to decide.
It was times like this that he wondered what Guru would have told him to do. Despite the differences they had Guru always knew the right things to say, and when it needed to be said. As he took a few steps forward he considered going back, but what good would that do now? He kept going on until he reached the massive entrance of the palace, where he placed his hand on the door and thought to himself. The leader of the Saiyan people would walk through this door; their decisions, which could affect every living species will be made in this place. With a heavy breath he forced the door open.
