Budokai Preliminary Round - Parker VS Amara

"I'd say we both rather enjoy having use of our arms, no?" Parker did raise a good point, one which Amara had already internally accepted as the truth of the matter. Still hearing it aloud was a bit different, the Saiyan sighing almost imperceptibly and giving the human a short nod. "That's why I cut myself off - though just to be a smartass I'd like to point out that a broken arm is far from a 'boo boo'." Amara smirked, impressed that the probably painful injury wasn't really slowing Parker down at all. He was a normal Earthling - aside from the suit - as far as she knew, so one showing pain tolerance on the level of a Saiyan warrior was impressive indeed. Despite his tenacity, Parker's next request still gave her pause. He had requested that she go all-out in the final moments of the match. Amara was hesitant for several reasons, chief among them being that unrestraining herself and really attacking Parker could seriously injure him. Aside from that being against the tournament rules, Amara had no wish to actually hurt what she considered to be at least a loose friend in the name of showing off during an exhibition match.

It was possible for skilled warriors to mentally and physically control the flow of their Ki no matter the power. Recoil was a foreign concept unless one wanted it to be, wanton destruction could be avoided if enough focus was dedicated to dispersing the energy behind whiffed attacks. Amara's teeth ground together, energy forcibly spiking up despite the remaining restraints on her body. Minor sparks began to fly erratically, not enough to harm Parker but a sign of the building power within her. Finally, as he approached with a flying knee, she stood still and took it. Unlike before the move only served to snap her head back for a split second, leaving a small welt as the Saiyan wordlessly clenched a fist diluted with green Ki. With one smooth motion, she aimed to punch Parker's chest, distributing the power to send him flying back and hopefully not harming him too terribly in the process.
