The fight from start to finish was laid out in a way that neither had anticipated, and both were to an extent out of their element. Derry seemed to stop to get into an opponents head with banter to distract or annoy them while Ward was more methodical and tried picking apart a fight. their attacks clashed and dissipated into smoke, and nothing they threw at each other to whatever extent thus far had accomplished anything other than slightly annoying the other.
Ward had attempted to lay a trap and actively annoy Derry this time, but with so little time from the start of the fight up until now he could only do so much. Even as the glass shard tornado grew every closer he knew it was unlikely to work, but he knew if he had more time he could have done more. Chances were Derry though similar if he only had more time, but things were coming down to the wire and despite their differences in fight philosophy they both wanted to advance.
Once again Derry began to throw banter at Ward, mixed with a threat of action, but again ward kept silent, controlling the glass ever closer as he watched intently. Some type of energy was building up inside of Derry's arms, and ward thought there was another fireball coming his way, though as the energy kept building it was clearly not the same attack he had seen already. Watching the fire fly towards him, the glass was destroyed in an instant, sending the bits that weren't dropping to the ground. If Derry liked the mirrors so far, he was in for a treat, as Ward moved his hands in front of himself as if prepared to block the attack, but at the last moment a large mirror shot up in front of him taking the brunt of the attack head on.
The flames looked as if they absorbed into into the mirror, leaving it a sickening green glow as a being of green flame stepped out, reshaping into what looked to be Derry himself. The same movements, time taken to charge, and actions to fire the attack Derry just had were mimicked as his own attack was fired back at him with full force. With the attack fired, Ward gave a loud scream as his energy flared for a brief moment and fired the same attack he had attempted and failed earlier, as his aura fired from his body.
