There was certainly something to be said about Earth when one would compare it to Arcose, and it was that diversity was just something else entirely. While Azoth had an idea of what it looked like when he saw it from space, aboard the Freezing Horizon, he could not have imagined that kind of landscape if he had not seen it himself. Back home, the whole planet was kind of one note, with a few minor exceptions, but here ? There was so many biomes coexisting on a single planet, it was nothing short of wonderful to see, even if this one was a little dry for the noble arcosian's taste.
The Western Wilds, it was called, according to the maps Azoth had gathered from Earth's network of information. It was, still accroding to this, a very dry part of Earth, far from most oceans and quite active when it came to volcano... there was apparently a whole city in this part of the world, but it was mostly occupied by deserts and wastelands, with mines creating some form of earthling settlements here and there.
'' Well, I did say I would visit the planet, so I guess I can't quite skip this place...''
Azoth did not like the air here, it was dry and warm, the kind that required a lot of drinking to be comfortable... of course, he had bottled water with him so it wouldn't be too bad, coupled with his natural resistance to weather, it shouldn't be too hard, but surely a little dull.
There did not seem to be much life around either, aside from the occasionnal animal around, some travelers and the settlements previously mentionned... ugh... if only he had learned to fly by now, he wouldn't have to journey through this place by foot... West City had to be really interesting to make this worth it.
