East City; a place Shakuhachi had not thought to find himself at this time, but desperate times call for desperate measures. In this particular moment he was waiting for a guest to arrive. He didn't know much about the man himself, only his name: Tabasco. Aside from that what he was really interested in was the organization he represented: GROWTH Laboratories. They were involved with pharmaceuticals, genetic engineering as well as technology development. As far as he knew that weren't the kind of group to provide soldiers, but they could enhance them.
Shakuhachi, in his own eyes, had a war to win; you had to find an advantage wherever you could in war. The situation felt... wrong, but what else could he do? The whole reason he had left Namek was to find help like this, and now maybe he had actually found some. His searches thus far had been less than satisfactory and this seemed promising. He had gone over some documents pertaining to what GROWTH did; he wasn't quite sure if they could provide the help he was looking for but having the conversation at least seemed like a good idea. Really, what was the downside?
He wasn't sure what kind of man he would be meeting; the message was rather brief, and only gave him the location of a small shop in a shady part of town; maybe this was a shady kind of deal? When talking about the things they were about to discuss perhaps it was best to keep things out of the light. He assumed that this 'Tabasco' would be a busy man, so he wanted to get the bullshit out of the way as much as possible.
As he sat at a table outside the coffee shop, ordering just a glass of water, he wondered what might come of all this. If he used what GROWTH could provide him to win the war on Namek, would they simply go away? He had some Zeni, but probably not the kind of funds they were looking for. Would they come after him? Would they come after Namek? Who knows. What he knew is that winning a war by himself wouldn't be possible. They couldn't really be called allies but they were still a resource. He needed all the resources he could get his hands on.
