“Yeah, pretty much.”
Was it odd that he had asked such a question? He was not sure, but he believed it was a pretty innocent question given he just asked about the Namekian species. After all, he had no idea whatsoever about them but this one alone was an interesting specimen: he was quite strong, his senses could tell that much.
But he soon also made a point that the Namekians themselves were peaceful, in a way, he guessed he could relate to the fact that the very existence of a Warrior species was probably more in the ‘defender’ sense than in the Saiyan way, something he could quite see his own younger self into, when he lived far back on an alien world.
“Mazoku… does that not mean Demon? That alone does not quite feel like part of a peaceful people, but I suppose you do not include them in your tale. I think I understand however. I accept I am a Saiyan but I can not quite see myself with others of my own blood, sadly. While they would treat me just alright, there is no way I can accept their ways.”
And it was true. He did not have a lot of experiences with Vegeteans but the very short ones he had were ‘positive’ to him, but he knew what they also did and were doing; he could not accept that, no matter what. Instead, the Tuffles easily resonated more with him and his dutiful need to protect someone.
Why had Nasu come to Earth? Now that was a question. If he had to be honest, he had so many reasons he could possibly point out that he did not know what to make of it. But of course, some of those reasons were confidential. Such as Cheri’s desire to find her lost daughter and of course, as truthful Nasu was, there was something he always kept and that was his honour. A promise to keep a secret was a secret, therefore he decided not to mention the need of Cheri’s personal reasons at all, and instead, stuck with the agenda as he faced the Namekian.
“Officially, we have come here for the tournament.”
He immediately said. It was indeed the ‘official’ reason in a sense, it was what they were for — they would leave once it was over for both of them, whether it would have been in one week or more. But well, soon he also mentioned and continued his very statement: there was more indeed.
“But let me say we also have our reasons. My friend and I. She is here to look for strong people to help out while I am here to… grow stronger, and also help out, for the same cause we share. The planet we travel from is facing a dire time due to the Saiyans’ brutal ways, so we are trying to do our best to protect the Tuffles from an incoming conquest.”
He soon thought, however, did he even know what Saiyans and Tuffles were? He was perhaps assuming too much, after all, Nasu did not even know what a Namekian was, but well, maybe he could at least have heard of them before.
“...And if that was not confusing enough, I am a Saiyan. But I am not a traitor of those who bear my own heritage, simply enough I was raised far off from Plant. My allegiances are with my ethics. Only recently have I come across this side of the galaxy. And what about you? Are you here for the tournament?”
