CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE:
BACKGROUND:
{Spoiler} Garrick Bloodthorne was born from the union between the Saiyan Lord Collard of Planet Vegeta and an Earthling fighter named Leriac. Though he was considered to be incredibly weak as an infant, both of his parents cherished him as their son. Most of the other saiyan nobles weren't exactly fond of the heir to the Bloodthorne throne, Collard and Leriac did what they could to shield him from judgement and scorn. The title of weakling has constantly followed the saiyan throughout most of his early life until one day he had just about enough of the ire of others and started focusing on increasing his own power.
As the war between the Saiyans and the Tuffles raged on, Garrick acted as mere fodder within the first few years, but proved himself to be a somewhat capable warrior on the battlefield with a rather distinct sense of honor. Both his saiyan comrades and even his tuffle enemies began to know Garrick for his bravery, his respect for others, and his honor. He would rise through the ranks and eventually become a commander, proving to those that doubted him that he too could rise to power and fame as long as he dedicated his life to it. In the early years of his military career he managed to get together in secrecy with a tuffle woman, though the relationship between the two would not last very long. From their relationship, Korado was born, and Garrick took him back to saiyan territory as his tail would easily make him out as a saiyan. Years later, Garrick would enter yet another relationship with one of the enemy, a tuffle by the name of Cheri, though in this case the two stuck together far longer. Though she was a prisoner originally, something eventually sparked between the two, and upon escaping prison the two would continue to meet up in secret time and time again, and the two eventually fell in love.
The noble saiyan would eventually learn of Cheri's pregnancy, and through some quick thinking he makes a plan to 'kidnap' Cheri and hide her away for the next few months. Along with some assistance from Doctor Satsuma, Cheri remains in saiyan territory, hidden in a cave until she finally delivers their child. Sure enough, the young one possessed a tail and black hair similar to her father, and after some heartbreaking debate between the two, they decided that little Amara must go with Garrick back to the capital. It would also prove to be the last time he sees Cheri for the next twenty two years.
Garrick temporarily retired from the war in order to take care of Amara, and though many would come to ask who the mother was, he kept that part a secret, not just to protect himself, but also for Cheri and Amara's sake. Soon, however, he realizes that there was much to take care of in the war, so he needed to come up with some sort of plan to take care of Amara. He would eventually decide to entrust Korado with taking care of Amara while he was fighting in the war, hoping that it would be enough for the little one.
For the next eighteen years Garrick continued the fight in the Tuffle-Saiyan war, leading his own squad into battle against the tuffles while collecting more and more eager recruits, including the likes of Taori, his niece's lover, until one fateful day when he was scheduled to be taken over to the Saiba Wastes to investigate some strange activity in the area. Before he knew it, his ship blew up due to an act of sabotage and Garrick was severely injured to the point of not even being able to fly. He crashes in the middle of the Saiba Wastes and was left for dead until two androids named I8 and G8 found the injured man and dragged him to a nearby cave away from all other eyes. At first they only sought to experiment on the man's body, but upon realizing that they're within the graces of Garrick Bloodthorne, they quickly changed their tune.
The explosion caused severe damage to Garrick's left arm, his tail, and both of his legs, and the two androids were forced to amputate them both and replace them with a bunch of spare mechanical limbs that they had lying around. Though crude in design, Garrick was at least mobile now, though a severe injury such as this has caused a massive decrease in the man's power and he realizes that he can't stay here on Plant anymore. The attack was likely caused by one of his own men rather than the tuffles, and if the tuffles and some of his own brothers want him dead, he can't show himself now. After thanking the two androids for their assistance and for promising to remain silent on this little matter, Garrick sneaks his way back into saiyan territory and steals an attack pod, leaving the planet behind along with everyone he left behind: Amara, Cheri, Korado, Taori, Alpinia... For several years the man had hidden on Konats, using the raging storm at the time to better hide his presence there, all the while assembling a new name and a disguise, so he donned a mask, tore off pieces of his armor, and wears a hood to better cover his head while taking on the new name: Clove. Once he had mostly recovered from his injuries, he had been gone from Plant for far too long. Clove hops right into the same space pod years back and travels back to his home planet, hoping that nothing too severe had happened.
