Another Happy Landing [Open]

It was seriously disappointing that the majin had backed down, and then insisted that the arcosian could take them both on at once!? The white haired warrior had heard some bold claims in his day, but he seriously doubted that one. Even if the guy did have another form, Beowulf had a far stronger one as well, and Lattei could be pretty tough in his super cop form. Though he knew the decision to fight the both of them was up to the emperor guy... "I'm sorry to hear we couldn't interest you Faustus... But you were wrong about one thing. We earthlings are by no means weak, despite the civilians of this world, we're some of the greatest fighters around. I personally am the student of Kioshi, legendary Hare hermit of the south. I can't have my training under her be for nothing... You can sit this one out if you'd like Lattei, I'm going all out..."

Beowulf would open the palm of his right hand, causing a small orb of white energy to form. Once it had, he would toss the orb high into the air before shouting "Burst open and mix!" The power ball would radiate blutz waves across the battlefield causing Beowulf's body to rapidly transform. 



His body would produce more hair all over, and his shirt would be torn off by the increase in size. His fingers would turn to claws, and feet to bipedal paws. The young man's mouth and face would contort before shaping into the head of a werevulk! His body would soon be fully wreathed in fur. The young man had fully transformed into his bestial state, and was more than ready for a fight now.

"How is this for power then? Sufficient enough for a little exercise?" The ten foot tall wolfman would jest.

Azoth was shocked at Faustus's behavior. He had not seen this childish side of the majin so far, and suddenly having him so angry and sarcastic towards him raised one of the arcosian's eyebrow with a certain look of disbelief in him... he would have to address that before anything serious proceeded back on Arcose. He looked at him as he went back into the ship, not really wanting to say anything, and as the door closed, his eyes would go back towards the two earthlings... that was quite the bad impression he just did as a future emperor, but he had to roll with it.

'' Well, looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed... I had heard that some people get grumpy from space travel, looks like that was right.''

Turning it into a joke felt like the only option for now, so Azoth went with that.

Then, as if to knock the arcosian out of this awkwardness, the one known as Beowulf, who he had previously taken as a simple earthling, transformed into something that Azoth was all too familiar with... an ancient ennemy of Arcose, one that Hibernal had all but exterminated... Beowulf was a Vulkis ! His canine form could not fool the arcosian, he had seen all about the war against the Vulkis and the following purge by... well... the general himself. His face would shift, almost like he unknowingly tried to apologize to the man.

'' You... you're a Vulkis. I am so.... so sorry...''

Azoth collected himself to wave goodbye to the other earthling, or the only earthling by that new knowledge. 

'' Take care Lattei, I sure hope I can see you around soon. I'll make sure to have a spar with you as well, test your technique and all, I did not learn multiple suppression forms for nothing.''

With that said, the noble would take a deep breath and close his eyes, really feeling the Vulkis's power. It was impressive, and for a moment, Azoth understood Hibernal's concerns and following purge, although these were not his methods.

'' Amazing, your power truly is something to behold. Probably second only to Arcosians themselves! I will have to go all out then ! ''

Azoth flared his teal aura and powered up quickly. He got talled and thinner, his bio-armor grew to cover his whole body and became more flexible, like a second, much stronger skin, and his horns were covered with the thing and extended.

'' This is my true form Beowulf, I will not hold back.''

He would then wait a second, to let the Vulkis some time to analyse and prepare for this fight properly.

A curse ? No, no no, Azoth was sure about what he was seeing, he had trained a lot in simulations of the war against Vulkis, and that was one of he ever saw one. With a shake of the head, Azoth would press on what he was saying, although perhaps ignorance had been bliss for Beowulf so far.

'' No, this is very clearly the beast form of Vulkis. Trust me, I would recognize it among thousands. It really is insane to see one for real though. I'm just glad I found you first, things could have ended badly if it was someone else...''

The fact that he called himself an earthling, mixed with his lack of knowledge about Arcosians confirmed it for Azoth, this was a Vulkis raised on Earth, away from the troubles of what almost destroyed his species... This meant their race could still be partially saved, and that would be one hell of an accomplishement knowing the horrible ways they were hunted down with in recent years.

Apparently, Beowulf meant business still, and Azoth was about to witness the might of a fully grown and powered Vulkis. His speed was impressive, and he seemed to be closing the gap between them as an impressive speed. Easily the strongest and fastest opponent Azoth had, but unfortunately, he was in his true form, and as such, his whole power was there for him.

A spark of golden lightning would appear in his hand, and with one smooth movement, he would throw a projectile towards the charging beast. Surely, this would be enough to stop it dead in its tracks, or else Azoth would be in real trouble. 

'' Imperial Judgement ! ''

He shouted, of course he had named this technique a little early, as he was still short of the title of emperor, but it was still a pretty good sounding name.

Well, it appeared that even if Azoth had slowed him down and successfully blocked his attack, Beowulf was back on the offensive again. This time however, the arcosian did not quite have the energy to throw another judgement, and the nature of his opponent's attack implied that he could most likely throw great quantity of it in a short amount of time... This was problematic, but also nto too bad, since it also meant Beowulf would eventually get tired, and from there, it was all but won for the arcosian.

It appeared as if the alien was having some kind of existence crysis in the middle of the fight, having some moments of visible conflict in the middle of their spar... it did not bother Azoth too much, but it would deserve him in the long run if he did not give his whole attention to the arcosian while they fought.

There was not much Azoth could do about the offensive except brace for impact. Clearly, he could dish out those attacks more than he could, so getting hit by it was inevitable at some point. However, he certainly did not expect the Vulkis to go for his legs, and when the claw connected with his bio-armor, it left a mark, although it did not draw blood, the scratch on him was visibly.

The arcosian started as his opponent stood back, visibly distracted again.

'' Ugh, this is gonna be a bother really quickly.''

With that said, Azoth was ready to counter-attack, his energy was rising once again. In this fight, he would not allow himself to drain energy too fast, or he risked being opened to Beowulf's stronger moves, he had seen similar strategies before, and was certainly not falling for it. The noble noticed his opponent looks distracted.

'' Hey uh, everything's good on your end ? You look distracted.''

Now, it seemed Beowulf was even more deranged, to the point where Azoth was unsure he was all that much into their fight anymore, he had even stopped attack and just began to somewhat talk about their old master... surely it came from the ball that Azoth dropped about the man's heritage, but it still felt a little strange to fight someone who was talking so much, and also wierdly grunting to themselves and reminding himself of old sayings by their master.

The arcosian looked at the Vulkis, a little confused but mostly annoyed that the beast had stopped its offensive, he had just started to take damage, and he could not believe he was tired already... although it was true that he had chained two major attacks back to back, but they did not seem too strong at all, especially with the power he could feel from him.

'' Alright, I know it must be a lot to take that you are not an earthling. If you feel like we should have to do that another time, I don't really mind, but if you want to continue, I'm still down for that.''

Of course, Azoth was not quite lowering his guard yet, but there was this idea in his head that if he managed to beat Beowulf while he was distracted, it would feel like he stole the win in the end, and he did not want any doubt hovering over his victories. His energy was not back to prime conditions, so if Beowulf chose to continue the fight, they would start back from scratch, although both of them took an attack directly.

The Arcosian was glad Beowulf was gonna keep fighting, he truly did not want this fight to end, especially with the power the Vulkis was holding, he somewhat hoped he could join him sometime, represent his people in Azoth's new empire, and help him bring to justice the man who almost destroyed his species, it would all nicely tie-up and start Azoth's Empire on the right foot and show to the galaxy what truly was his end goal. A fight could go a long way in establishing some trust between the two of them.

'' Oh don't worry, I still hope to show you my greatest technique as well ! Just you wait, it's gonna be fun.''

A technique that Azoth had created back when he was still a trainee, it was a powerful one to be sure. But as he was thinking about this, he noticed a spike of power in Beowulf, just before the Vulkis began to charge what Azoth assumed to be his ultimate technique, its power was massive ! Before he could react furthermore, a massive wave of scarlet energy was coming for him, and all he could do was cross his arms in front of him and brace for impact. Hopefully, this attack had left Beowulf wide open.

Intense pain washed over the noble arcosian, his forearms, legs and torso were being burned by the massive energy, but he was standing still, tanking it all. When the energy finally disperced, he was still standing, the pure white of his bio-armor was tainted with black and fuming, but he was still proudly facing Beowulf.

'' Impressive, most impressive. I have never quite seen someone else display such power before. A technique that would get rid of most opponents, I am sure, however. ''

Quick on his feet, Azoth would dash towards the Vulkis at high speed, exploiting the fact that he was probably exhausted after such a technique was fired.

'' I am not 'most opponents'.''

He smirked as an energy blade formed around his right arm and he would attemp to slash Beowulf across the chest with it. A simple technique, but it was pretty effective against fighters who just emptied their whole energy into one attack, a rookie mistake.
