CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE:
Lagi is 5'10'' and rather muscular. His hair is red, which he gets from his mother (clearly), otherwise he's the spitting image of his father in his younger days. Broad shoulders, strong jaw, eyes that yearn for adventure.
BACKGROUND: Lagi has always had a deep desire to learn, specifically to find the truth. He isn't one to accept answers that rely on magic and wonderous things, much more preferring to learn the natural phenomena to explain events. Luckily he was an only child so spoiling the magic of Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny didn't ruin it for other children. As a wondrously mature child, his parents sought it wise to level with him, and be honest. If he asked questions, they'd answer truthfully, albeit sometimes they could be rather blunt. He was pulled out of school at a young age when his parents learned that he possessed the strength associated with his father's Saiyan bloodline, and they explained as much.
They wanted as normal a life as possible for their son, but also to allow him to pursue whatever passions he found on his own. His removal from traditional schooling was to protect him from scrutiny and prejudice, not solely to protect the other children who might try to bully him for being 'different'. He studied at home, taking lessons through both in person tutors and online course work. His parents afforded him plenty opportunity to learn and grow at his own pace, but he got into the habit of completing his normal studies quickly so he could focus on things he truly enjoyed.
Lagi's pension for the truth, and seeking answers in things, naturally led him down the path of criminal investigation, and he very much intended to become a private detective when he grew up. His father, a day laborer, was pleased to hear his son would rather work with his mind than his hands, though he'd be proud of his son no matter what he chose to do with his life, so long as he did it honorably and tried his best. His mother, who was a pre-school teacher, of course was supportive as well, wanting the best for her son as any parent should.
An important part of Lagi's childhood was also his training he did with his father, mostly on weekends he wasn't working. The elder Oshiro thought it was important his son learn to control the power he'd been born with, and if he chose to train it then he'd help with that too. Lord knows there's plenty of bad people out there that might seek him out simply for being a Saiyan, and threats from other worlds could come at any time. War was no stranger to Lagi's father. He'd come to Earth to escape the hellishness of it all twenty years ago, and it still haunts him to this day. He'd not trade the life he has now for anything.
