CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE: Tarch is a little on the short side, even for a ten-year-old. Puberty has yet to shoot him up to the heights he is meant to reach. From the back, the kid looks like any other saiyan would. As soon as one sees his face, his icy almost cyan blue eyes completely give away his human half, that is if you can see them through his black curtain of hair. His muscles barely seem to have developed yet, the only reason he possesses any definition at all is from his occasional unlawful fleeing with his brother, and a love for swimming. As for his saiyan traits, he likes to keep his tail waving freely, with only a single scar to be found. A small bite mark, given to him by his baby brother when they first met.
BACKGROUND:
Tarch’s family life was not quite what some would expect from a normal ten-year-old boy. He never met his mother, a hard trained soldier back in the saiyan home world. Meanwhile he has no idea what happened to his father. While most of the memories of him were fond ones, the poor boy was left behind before he could really form any meaningful memories. To this day he isn't sure what ever happened to him, he could have died for all Tarch knows. Luckily, this made him too young to really hold a grudge against either of his birth parents. Maybe one day he would meet his hardened mother Kohlra, or his missing father. Finally there was his big sister Kon. The first of many bad influences in his life. She had little care for authority or rules, the latter of which passed on to Tarch. He learned all sort of illegal tricks from Kon, finding pleasure in misdemeanors. Though he never carried the same disrespect for authority or lack of care for life. The only time the two were at odds were when people were physically hurt. Eventually it would become 'if you don't like it you don't have to look, but I'm not going to stop.' It wasn't until his teen sister committed actual murder did Tarch truly fail to understand what his sister had done.
Regardless, with his Saiyan mother serving in the military on her home planet, and his father left him before he could really remember, he spent his time with his Aunt Tanga and his little brother Chromo. While Tanga was never a cruel parent, in fact, she was far from it, her line of work however did make for a sometimes absent parental figure. As such Tarch gained respect, though not so much an understanding yet, for science but kept the lack thereof for the rules. This delinquency would be further enforced by his tiny bug brother.
After Kon was taken away, Tarch and Chromo would be brothers in arms, committing shoplifting, vandalism, and the occasional breaking and entering. He just never saw the harm in messing around with people’s livelihoods. People’s lives on the other hand was another story. After realizing he was far stronger than the average child, Tarch decided that he simply didn’t need to hurt people to have fun. Even as limited as he was, the idea of killing, maiming, even just harming another person was a scary prospect but an easy accident for a super-powered child.
All it takes is for one little robbery to go wrong. An unfortunate Hetap factory worker in the wrong place at the wrong time stood in the way of a caffeine-fuelled Tarch, finding himself literally planted in the wall by the rampaging child. While the worker survived, Tarch was feeling something new. A sort of emptiness from the incident. It was no fun pushing people around who couldn’t fight back. Honestly, it kind of sucked. So while he would always be up for a little mischief, legality notwithstanding, he just couldn’t bring himself to actually hurt people. This didn't stop his sister, and he could never really tell if she disliked him for it.
Above all, this brazen youth finds himself plenty outgoing and brave. That was until his big sister was taken as well. Now the bravado lasts as long as his cool, and more importantly much stronger brother was around. Without Chromo, Tarch goes from the social butterfly to a stuttering recluse. One day he could be shaking your hand, introducing the coolest bug in the world. The next he could be fidgeting nervously, insisting that he go find his brother before the conversation continues. That said, while Tarch sees himself as the weaker of the two brothers, feeling more human than Saiyan, there is a definite warrior bubbling inside him. Sure he likes the odd scrap if his opponent can fight back, but more importantly, is what happens should some poor soul threatens his family. The diminutive power may no longer be so insignificant.
By all technicality, Chromo is Tarch's only remaining link to his father with Kon out of the picture. He was told that as a baby he demonstrated power far beyond even a full blooded saiyan child. Looking at him now that was hard to believe. But the story goes that a once threatened father found his not even speaking child roaring in anger to defend his dad. As such, Aunt Tanga decided to use his saiyan DNA to create his brother. An adorable little bug named Chromo. The two are inseparable, committing all sorts of mischief whenever possible. Even though their first interaction was Chromo literally taking a bite out of Tarch's tail. It didn't matter. Tarch had the coolest and most powerful brother on Earth as far as he was concerned.
As for the ever destructive Oozaru, Tarch never seemed to inherit that particular trait. Actually as he grew up, the child seemed less like an all powerful saiyan and more like the average human kid that happened to have a monkey tail. That was until the few moments he was pushed to the edge. Like a raging great ape, Tarch's fury would explode in an all powerful blast. Like a bolt of lightning, bright, powerful, and destructive, then gone in a flash. That along with a fighting spirit that only desires a fair battle, Tarch's saiyan side shows brightly, with more than a hint of human emotion to both temper and fuel it.

ADDITIONAL NOTES: Guys it’s a pun on ARTiCHoke. It’s not sTARCH I swear! Guys really! I’ve been saying this for years! The letters are just rearranged! It’s artichoke! Guys?.... Guys?... Ok fine, he’s a starch.
Anyway, I think this time around Tarch is going Wrathful instead of Oozaru.
I also have permission from Sketch, Eerie, Corrin, and Legendary for mentioning their respective characters.
Furthermore I am 99.9% certain sensing actual emotion would require OOC consent and am 100% okay with this

COMBAT INFORMATION
TECHNIQUES:
Light Attack || Torrent Impact
Tarch forces as much Ki and he can into a fist to strike an opponent with a blue flaming fist.
Power: 20%
KP Cost: 1 KP
Variants: none
Medium Defense || Afterimage
For some reason, Tarch and speed seem to go hand in hand. In a burst of speed, Tarch can absolutely litter an area with afterimages. Oh, I suppose he can use it to dodge as well.
Power: 70%
KP Cost: 3 KP
Variants: Evasive
Support Solar Flare || Icy Firecracker
Tarch’s first-ever technique. A failed attempt to create the now Torrent Impact, Tarch instead made an impossibly bright and ear-piercing crackling flare of bright blue flame.
Power: 60%
KP Cost: 2 KP
Heavy Sparking Defense || Faster Than Thought
Using his incredible energy sensing abilities and blinding speed, Tarch seems to actually predict any move that comes his way. Time seems to slow down, enemies' attacks appear to trail themselves, and his own speed increases to insane heights. However the sheer amount of concentration and power needed to accomplish this feat is also very high. Due to his young age and inexperience, this techniques leaves Tarch incredibly exhausted both physically and mentally.
Power: 110%
KP Cost: 5/5 KP/MP
Variants: Evasive+, Lightspeed
Utility Technique || Ki Suppression
Tarch is able to suppress his Ki levels if he ever needs to hide. More interestingly he is able to set it at different levels. Oddly enough it always seems to be in effect unless he is provoked.
Utility Technique || Ki Sensing
Though his actual power seems lacking, Tarch is naturally gifted with sensing the ki of others. So far most of this is natural talent but eventually Tarch will hope to hone this into even sensing the emotions of others and hopefully use them to try and gauge what moves his opponents will make. For now he can only tell a rough power level and only strong emotions tracing along ki.
