Screw You, Alpinia [Invite]

Drag her along with him? Well, if anything, Alpinia thought that she'd be the one dragging Taori along with her, but she'd probably go along with wherever he wanted to go too, if he was passionate enough about doing it. That wasn't all too important right at that moment, though. What was important was that Delia had finally relented and decided to sing for Alpinia! "Yay!" she exclaimed joyfully, her arms extending straight up into the air in a spontaneous victory pose. Score one for Alpinia! "Yeah, that's fine," she replied to Delia's frantic excuses for delaying the inevitable. "Now I get to hear you at your best!"

The song Delia ultimately decided on wasn't one that Alpinia was very familiar with, though. "Mary Had a Little Lamb?" she asked as she gently took the scouter back from her cousin and looked at the lyrics. This song was... Short, to say the least. In fact, it was only about four sentences long. But if that was Delia's choice, then who was Alpinia going to be to complain about it? "Alright, sounds good!" she exclaimed as she handed the scouter back to Delia so that her cousin could read off the lyrics.

Alpinia then pulled up a chair and plopped herself right down onto it expectantly, her hands placed on her knees and her posture upright as an excited expression crossed her face. "Okay, go ahead!" Alpinia encouraged, "Whenever you're ready!"

At long last, Delia was finally singing. Alpinia listened to her cousin with baited breath, eager to hear just how a future pop star like her was going to sound. And she was... Good! Alpinia couldn't stop herself from smiling as the short little nursery rhyme left Delia's lips and echoed throughout the room. It wasn't as if Delia was the greatest singer to ever grace the galaxy, of course, but she sure had some potential! Alpinia started to clap as Delia finished, only for Delia to swiftly toss a scouter at her that forced her to stop and scramble to catch the thing before it hit the floor.

Luckily, she did manage to get a grasp on it, and she set it down carefully on the small table next to her seat. "That was great, Delia!" Alpinia exclaimed, and she rushed forward to give her cousin a big ol' hug, whether Delia wanted it or not. "I can definitely see you up on the world stage belting your heart out. You're going to have a lot of fans, I can guarantee that!" It made her excited to see her cousin chasing her passions like this, especially considering the rather tumultuous events that had recently taken place in her life. Some stability and passion was certainly in order for Delia.

"You just say the word and Taori and I will support you in any way we can," she promised, "We'll even be sure to get front row tickets to your first concert - it doesn't matter what planet it's on! We'll be there. I'm sure Taori wouldn't mind going on a small vacation." Alpinia finally released Delia from her embrace and took a step back. She sure hoped this would all work out for Delia, at least. Alpinia didn't know a whole lot about idols, but she was pretty sure it was no easy task to become one. "And, you know, if you need a place to stay while you're still establishing yourself, our doors are always open for you."

Delia seemed proud of her own singing skills, which Alpinia assumed was good - it was never a bad thing to have confidence in one's own abilities, so long as you had the skill to back that confidence up! And, while Alpinia was no expert singing judge or anything, it certainly seemed as though Delia was capable of holding her own in that department. Although, Alpinia had to wonder how her cousin would do up on a big stage with loud music blaring behind her voice, and thousands of fans cheering her on in the stands... It'd certainly be a different experience than quietly and quickly singing a short little nursery rhyme in Alpinia's home.

"Oh-" Alpinia blinked in surprise as Delia stated that she would 'blow up her house' if Alpinia and Taori didn't show up to her first concert. She was just joking, right? ...On the off chance that she wasn't Alpinia was definitely going to go put out an internet alert for Delia's name after this, just so she'd get notified straight away if ever a concert went live that Delia was the star of.

"You're going back to your family house?" Alpinia then asked Delia. Though her cousin seemed quite sure that those people had 'calmed down by now', Alpinia lacked that same confidence. It had been a rather harsh and severe disinheritance, from what Alpinia had heard, so to have Delia just show up on their doorstep under the assumption that time had healed those wounds... Needless to say, it might not go all too well for anyone involved, there. 

There was just no stopping Delia, though. Alpinia was hardly able to even get a word out of her mouth before her cousin was out the door, the wooden frame still wide open by the time Delia had gotten halfway down the block. "U-Uh, good luck! Bye!" Alpinia called out after her, a hint of worry in both her tone of voice and furrowed brows. She watched Delia from the doorway until she fell out of view, let out a sigh, and then gently shut the door as she went back inside.
