Curled around the top of a comically large jawbreaker, Didi floated above the citizens of Central City. He was currently in the middle of a heated game of Loogie Bomber. A game he'd invited to pass the time. The goal was to try and drop a ball of spit on the highest number of people in a row as possible. Didi was on the cusp of beating his high score of nine at the moment. [break][break]

Carefully, he scanned the crowds below for the perfect target. Scarlet eyes darted from person to person with calculated purpose. They narrowed on a group of ladies window shopping on the sidewalk. Three young women, all in a row, their faces pressed against a shop window. "Target confirmed." he grinned.[break][break]

With unnatural speed, the jawbreaker shot across the sky to the open air above the girls. The young Majin gathered saliva into the back of his throat and yanked his head back. "Huuck." the nasty slosh of mucus and phlegm rang in his ears.[break][break]

Didi peered over the edge of the jawbreaker at the girls. "Pew" he spat, watching the loogie divebomb onto the middle girl's head. She patted her head and looked up to see Didi grinning down at her. The girl screamed, taking off alongside her friends down the sidewalk in a panic. All the while, Didi cackled loudly from the top of his floating jawbreaker.

Leaning back in his chair, Detective Vente of Central City Police Department's Third Division let out a sigh. He rubbed his back which was currently in agony from his terrible posture. He had been hunched over his desk scrawling through paperwork at a breakneck speed like a lunatic in the hopes of finishing up the incredibly boring work. Becoming a prolific force of justice of course would have required administrative duties but the sheer mountains of paperwork he had to go through when he had no cases made him feel blue. It didn't help his office was far away from everyone else, isolating him purposefully. He worked too hard and he wasn't in any politician's pocket so he was a freak to his colleagues. A phone call cut through his thought process and he answered it in the blink of an eye, anything to take away the monotony. There was a weirdo flying around Central City harassing civilians! Boom, that was a case right there. Throwing on his jacket in dramatic fashion and gearing up, he was soon barrelling out the doors of the precinct into the hustle and bustle of the streets, leaving the creeping shadows and swirling rumours that dared to stab at his back in the precinct behind for the packed streets, jostling with life and triviality.

Patrolling the streets, Lattei was attempting to locate any particularly odd power levels. The ability to FEEL out Ki meant he could find malicious or odd signatures to aid him in his investigations. He finally locked onto something, stronger than most average people. It was about his strength, or rather.. the strength he was at when he sparred with that alien Malt, and that no-good fugitive Beowulf. It was lower than his current power but still something to beware. He broke off in a sprint towards it.

Well... that definitely WAS weird. The officer had no clue what he was looking at. It was a weird... thing... floating on another weird... thing. Was it.. a piece of candy maybe? Considering Earth was a melting pot of culture for all sorts of species, Lattei tried his best to remember all the ones he had met but this was seriously strange. Was he meant to know what this person was? He didn't. He also couldn't fly. Which was a problem. Since this absolutely had to be the suspect and he had no clue how to reach them without firing Ki blasts which was... bad, not the way a hero of justice should conduct themselves. Then he had an idea. He always had the ultimate tactic that never failed anyone on the force. Yelling!

"HEY! Yeah! You on the jawbreaker! I'm with the Police! Come down and answer some of my questions."

Hopefully, that was all he needed. He really didn't want to start something in Central City of all places... when he got into scuffles out in the boonies for weird requests, it was fine but right here? It'd be terrible.

Still laughing up a storm, Didi didn't notice the officer approach until it was too late. "Gaah!" he jumped, hovering a few inches above the jawbreaker as he stared down at the street, startled. "Don't you know it's rude to yell in public!" he shouted back.[break][break]

Didi placed a hand on his chest. His tiny Majin heart was beating a million miles a minute. "You almost gave me a heart attack!" he adds, pretending to catch his breath. [break][break]

Now was usually the part where Didi ran.[break][break]

He didn't like dealing with the police. They weren't fun, and getting caught meant going back home to his dad. Bailing whenever they showed up to ruin his fun was usually the right choice. Today, however, Didi was feeling extra diabolical. He was bored of running, of Loogie Bomber, and his other usual games. Today he wanted to do something more fun.[break][break]

Didi crossed his leg and lowered himself and the jawbreaker a bit closer to the ground. He was still airborne and too far to be reached without flying or clever movement. "What do you want, mister policeman? Can't you see I'm in the middle of a game here?" he asked with a toothy smile.

This situation seemed to delve deeper into weirdness by the minute. This person clearly wasn't some heinous criminal, with a reaction like that to Lattei's simple yelling. Plus, unlike most suspects, he actually complied and came towards the detective to partake in questioning. For some reason, that just gave him an even more terrible feeling. Nobody EVER complied with questioning unless they had something to hide or were going to do something terrible. Putting that away, he supposed he should start.

"Alright... this first question is honestly a bit rude so forgive me but uh... what even are you? I genuinely don't know. Oh, and your name please." Lattei would attempt to poke the mischievous Majin out of curiosity, wondering what it would feel like.

"Next! Why are you... spitting on people in public? It's annoying people and it's gross. I doubt there's a single good excuse in the galaxy that could explain why you'd do something like this. So.. stop. This is a formal warning, please don't do that anymore."

Reaching to scratch the back of his neck, the Earthling wondered if this was really worth his time. It was better than being stuck in his office for sure but.. this was kinda lame. He was being a narc to some weird creature who was spitting on people. Really not a standout expedition.. it definitely wouldn't be featured in Lattei's biography when he inevitably became the most renowned cop in the galaxy for singlehandedly ending corruption himself. Lost in his own musing thoughts, he let his guard down as he waited for answers to his questioning. Hopefully, the other person would apologize and never do this again and the world would be a better place. Key word: hopefully.

"It's called a Majin." called out a pissed off female voice that was getting closer. A spiky ponytail haired woman dressed in red leathers, and a large fur pelt kama stepped towards the pair, some sort of liquid present on the edge of her shoulder. She looked pretty pissed off. Rassica wiped her shoulder clean, disintegrating the goop with her energy in the process.

She had been enjoying some decent downtime, finally having a chance to get off the ship as Erbia had swapped shifts with her after his fiasco's so far on Earth. The Saiyan had even decided to try and do a little window shopping, maybe get herself some new gear when out of nowhere a great ball of phlegm had landed on the person next to her and splashed onto her as well. Thankfully her Scouter that she was wearing had been able to track the offending source to this Majin being interrogated by an apparent member of Earth's police force.

"I wouldn't try reasoning with the damned thing. All any Majin I've met in the galaxy so far have cared about has been either food, entertaining themselves, or wrecking havoc. Usually all three at the same time because they figured why not?" she explained to the Earthling, crossing her arms over her chest as she death-glared the Majin on the floating rock thing.

"It's for a game, that's why." Didi answered honestly, "I'm playing Loogie Bomber." his tone made it sound like that should be obvious. As if everyone knew all about the game he'd made up a week ago.

Whatever explanation Didi was going to give about his race never came. His hyperactive mind immediately fixated on the Saiyan. "Yupp, leather lady is right. I'm a Majin." he puffed out his chest proudly. "Man officer, you must be pretty bad at your job if you don't know what a Majin is." Didi shrugged, shaking his head as he spoke.

"You've got us Majins all wrong lady," sitting criss-cross in the air, Didi hovered away from his jawbreaker. It remained floating behind him as he drifted closer to the pair. "Yeah, we like to eat candy by the fistful - I'll give you that much. But most of us keep to ourselves and don't go around causing havoc." he snickered.[break][break]

A jester's smile that reached from ear to ear sprawled across his face. Alongside the faint glow of his scarlet's eyes, the expression was haunting. "I'm one of the exceptions." Didi cackled and snapped his fingers. [break][break]

Created by magic, two buckets of water spawned above Lattei and Rassica's heads. The buckets were airborne for only a moment. Gravity quickly brought them falling. Didi darted back up to his jawbreaker as they fell, laughing regardless of the outcome.

Finally having a name to Didi's species, Lattei made sure to note it down. He scrawled a quick doodle of him and noted down some of the colourful characteristics as mentioned by the new arrival, who seemed to be not so fond of the race. He snapped his handy book shut and listened as both went on. There wasn't really anywhere he could interject and he'd already done what he came here to do: warn the Majin. And of course, it's never that easy.

Making an incredibly ominous statement and then grinning like that... it sent a shiver down the Earthling's spine. But that wasn't the only reaction his body had. His hair stood on end and he felt the creation of something above his head through magic. His instincts kicked in, telling him to move. Infusing Ki into his legs, he kicked off the ground and into the air, the bucket of water crashing to the concrete and spilling all over the place. With his burst of speed and vertical momentum, he was able to fling himself at Didi. He clung to the jawbreaker desperately, having no ability to fly. Though, considering his power, he could easily take the fall and just jump right back up. That didn't change that he was holding on for dear life.

"I feel left out, let me play a game too. We'll call it... Apprehend the Majin! By the power placed in my badge by Central City... I hereby declare you... a criminal!"

If the case wasn't cool, then MAKE it cool! Lattei threw a look at Rassica. He didn't need the help of the Saiyan but it would make things a lot smoother in case he made any mistakes. Then, to add some power to his statement, he infused one of his tonfas with Ki and rammed it into the majin's floating ride. He was unsure if it would crack, break or do nothing but it was worth a shot. It'd make him a lot easier to catch if he wasn't able to float away on a piece of candy at a moment's notice. Even if Lattei was clinging on, it was a very disadvantageous position. Didi had the high ground, but they underestimated Lattei's power.

The Saiyan woman glared at the Majin as it tried to paint itself as an innocent... right before it turned around and tried to dump a magically summoned bucket of water on top of her head! Rassica snarled and instead of dodging it like the Earthling had done she just vaporised it with an energy blast. As the Earthling began to cling onto the Majin's rock thing, the Saiyan woman would hold out a palm and begin to take aim at the purple gumball creature.

It was then that the Earthling declared themselves to be a local law enforcement agent judging from the whole "power placed in my badge" declaration they had made. And was now looking towards Rassica for assistance. Now this was an interesting dilemma. Here she was, a galactic pirate, with an officer of Earth's law looking to her for aid in dealing with a public nuisance of a Majin who was pulling stupid pranks on people.

Obviously the Earthling had no clue what he was doing or dealing with, but at the same time she and the crew were attempting to keep a low profile to keep off the Galactic Patrols radar in this sector of space. But the Majin had pissed her off, and if there was one thing you didn't want to do in the cosmos, it was piss off a female Saiyan on her day off. Rassica charged up energy in her palm before firing off a series of bolts towards the Majin's rock thing, trying to take care to not hit the law enforcement agent.

In hindsight, the water buckets hadn't been the best idea. Lattei and Rassica's guards had been up the whole time. There was no way they were getting soaked. Didi expected them to be upset. But he didn't think they'd chase after him. The mischievous Majin had just reached his jawbreaker when Lattei launched at him.

Thankfully, the Earthling latched onto the candy and not Didi. The Majin watched Lattei struggle to hold on with a childish smile. "Haahaa." unlike his behavior, Didi's laugh was innocent and pure. Boisterous and loud with all the whimsy and wonder of a child.

Both adults were under the impression he needed the jawbreaker to fly. Oh, how disappointed they were going to be.

Still laughing, the delinquent casually floated away and to the right of his favorite candy. In the knick of time, too. Rassica's energy blasted the hardened confection into a cloud of sugary dust. Which left the man holding it nowhere to go but down. As funny as Didi would find watching Lattei crash into the ground. The destruction of his jawbreaker flared his temper.

Angry eyes narrowed on the Saiyan like hawk hunting prey. "What the fuck, lady?" he yelled. "You can't disrespect a jawbreaker like that." a grave offense. Purple lips curled into a judgemental frown. Stacks of white-hot smoke spewed from the holes on Didi's arms. Consequences for his actions absent from his thoughts. A child throwing a fit, he lashed out against the Saiyan.

Sparks of violet electricity trailed along behind his arm as he raised it above his head. Magical energy gathered into a basketball-sized sphere of crackling energy inside his palm. In one swift arcing motion, Didi hurled it at Rassica.

Whether it hit her or something else. The explosion that followed would fill the sky with a silhouette of Didi's face.

Before Lattei could act, it would appear his unlikely Saiyan cohort had fired on the jawbreaker. It was reassuring to know that he had someone to back him up. That was until the jawbreaker was destroyed and Didi remained afloat while the officer plummeted to his doom. He flailed and spun in the air, trying to position himself so he could land on his feet. Imbuing his legs with Ki, he reinforced the muscles and bones before he hit the concrete sidewalk. The floor cracked and his feet sunk into the pathway from the sheer force, but him and his legs survived. Taking a quick moment to dust himself off, Lattei observed the Majin's new demeanour. He was acting like a big baby... he definitely didn't make a cool villain to up the 'Wow!' factor of this case. He appeared to be especially mad at Rassica, which made the detective lucky she had hit the jawbreaker before him, since he was planning on the exact same thing. Then, the Majin threw the first serious attack of the entire incident.

And then, his legs carried him into the trajectory of the blast between Didi and Rassica. No time to think. He skidded to a halt and threw his arms out to block the way. He couldn't let anyone get hurt, powerful Saiyan warrior or not. It was quite literally the entire basis of his job... that he serve and protect the people of Earth. So he absolutely had to do this. Raising his power, he let out a yell as the air around him rippled with pressure. The blast was hurtling towards him at full speed, only mere moments away from impact. As it entered the field of high pressure around him though, it suddenly slowed to a crawl, struggling to get past the raw air current created by his quick but potent raise of energy. The blast slowly began to shrink, being torn away at by the vortex around him until no Ki remained at all. Lattei finally slumped, his stance dropping. He panted loudly, it was a new experimental technique. His defensive arsenal was sorely lacking and it was a bit strange for an officer of the law to be unable to protect others so why not make a new technique up on that spot? It was the Saiyan's turn to counterattack now that the short arm of the law had dealt with the oncoming attack.

Rassica rolled her eyes at the tantrum the Majin was throwing. "It's an oversized pebble. Get over it." she declared, raising an eyebrow as the Earthling officer placed himself between herself and the Majin's inevitable attack. She hadn't expected an Earthling that she had literally just met to try and save her from an enemy attack with some kind of wind style technique of their own. The technique's energy was definitely more than sufficient to handle the Majin's energy blast, but it seemed to exhaust the Earthling after using it.

She in turn regarded the Majin in the air, closed her eyes as she took in a slow breath and then cracked her neck from side to side. There was a brief pause that could be felt in the air, before almost immediately her power surged around her, the ground beneath her cracking and breaking in a crater with her at its center. Rassica opened her eyes and they were a now a beige golden-esque colour, a violent aura of energy cascading around her and her hair waving as if it were underwater.

The Saiyan warrior woman brought her right hand up and across her chest before swinging it in a wide stroke as if she were trying to backhand slap the Majin from a distance... But the wind generated by the swing immediately ignited and a crescent arc wave of flame surged forth towards the floating Majin!

By swinging her leg, or arm, or any object that can create a gust of air, Rassica can ignite the air and slam that fire along with her strike into her opponent to try and cause them to be set on fire as well!
