BACKGROUNDPlanet Vegeta is a violent, scarlet land where only the strong can survive. That was what many the Saiyans believed, including the soon-to-be parents in the Spinespear family. They elite soldiers in the Saiyan Army, and surely their child would be even stronger. They named their heir Carro, hoping for their son to be a soldier to bring blood to the battlefield and glory to their family name....What they got, though, was a pitiful runt with a single power level and a genetic defect resulting in the inability to use ki.To say Carro’s parents were disappointed and furious at this excuse of a saiyan was an understatement. His disappointed parents decided on sending Carro off to a planet to “conquer”- though it was much too threatening for their child. If he died there, then so be it- at least the little disgrace would be out of their hair… But unbeknownst to his parents, their child had one, singular gift of cleverness.Among the fear instilled in his tiny mind from overhearing his parents' plans was something else- a persisting will to survive. When he was dragged to be sent off, he’d escaped undetected, leaving an empty pod to crash on a distant planet and his parents none the wiser as he was forced to survive in the streets of the capital.Carro had to learn to be even smarter to survive for as long as he did- despite being so young he grew up fast. Occasional stories of a scruffy little demon pillaging markets surfaced in the slums- some claimed the creature to be invisible, while others thought it was tied to the appearance of several intricate traps set in the wastes and alleys. It was all just Carro, though. From learning the schedules of shopkeepers to find the perfect time to pillage some food, laying traps to catch food in the wastes, and looting scrapyards and fields of battle, the weak little Carro survived, determined to keep breathing for as long as he possibly could. Days, weeks, and eventually months lost meaning to him as each day blended together...Yet, one unforgiving summer evening, something changed. Observant and attentive as he had to be to survive, Carro quickly became aware of a new presence in the alleyways he frequented. It was another saiyan child, seemingly left fending for himself just like Carro. Though empathy was still a foreign concept to him, this was the first time he looked at someone and saw something in common. So, he shadowed this new “neighbor,” assessing the competition before he was confronted by the saiyan soon after. The other child, whose name he eventually learned to be Dion, was... odd. Their first few encounters were tense as Carro slowly began to grow curious of this strangely kind saiyan. The moment Dion learned of Carro’s lack of any sort of guardian figure after building enough trust with the runt to get him to talk a little, seemingly was the tipping point for Dion to truly begin to befriend the wild weakling.
With plenty of scraps of food, talking to the quiet toddler, Dion managed to build trust with the skittish saiyan toddler slowly but surely. Up until now the concepts of a role model, right and wrong, or even the mere concept of kindheartedness and empathy were alien to Carro. But now, face to face with someone who he knew was truly like him, who understood and wanted to help with no strings attached, he finally made the choice to stay with Dion, welcoming his newfound adoptive brother. Now with a much more receptive and present Carro, Dion could properly teach the frail runt everything he wanted to. Carro ate up all the new information just as eagerly as he’d devoured any offered scrap of food, and in turn offered his own understanding, comfort, and unconditional kindness. Carro hardly ever left his brother’s sights.Once Carro was walking on his own two feet, he began to follow his brother out of the streets to meet his other friends- Amara and her family. Though initially intimidated by them, Carro warmed up to them with some encouragement and bonding with Amara especially. Garrick and Korado, Amara’s caretaker, even became something akin to father figures to the saiyan runt. Carro grew close to Korado especially, becoming immensely invested in the saiyan’s mechanical work, finally finding his own passion as a mechanic through Amara's caretaker. But in their early teens, Carro’s own parents finally became suspicious of their son’s apparent survival, thanks to his frequent visits to the noble districts to see Amara... Garrick, thankfully, was able to send the two of them somewhere safer- the distant Planet Earth. Caper, Garrick’s former coworker and Carro’s retired uncle residing on Earth, took the offer to look after the two. After a heartfelt goodbye to Amara’s family, and being gifted a small robot named Bud by Korodo to help look after the brothers in their absence, they were sent off.Caper was a surprisingly relaxed and friendly face compared to the rest of Carro’s family. Carro’s uncle was responsible for helping him gain a stronger sense of belonging and worth and even taking some of his uncle’s snark and wit. Caper was a goofy, yet wise and grounding person in his and Dion’s years on Earth. As a new adult, Carro now has taken up a college class in medical sciences at Orange Star Academy, and even plans to start up his own small time mechanics and repair shop soon. Now having freshly moved out with Dion to live on their own on Papaya Island, Carro is content to live the rest of his days in peace on the blue marble with his brother. Everything is peaceful, and Carro is happy to live how he is now for the rest of his life with his brother. What could possibly go wrong?

TECHNIQUESADDITIONAL NOTES: I have permission from Dion and Amara's players to mention their characters in my background! Carro will be taking Oozaru as his starter x5 form as well.
Utility Technique || Ki LockA defect Carro was born with that prevents him from outputting any ki, though it also makes input a lot harder as well. This makes him almost completely immune to any mind or ki altering, controlling, or otherwise malicious abilities that affect one's mind or perception. This lock also applies to Carro being unable to be affected by neutral or beneficial abilities, such as magical healing or telepathic connections.
