APPEARANCE: A lean, dark-skinned male of below average height, with narrow hazel eyes ringed with dark kohl. and short, orange red hair worn up in spikes. One of his eyes is kept permanently shut by a gruesome scar, which he keeps tastefully hidden behind a fringe of hair. He keeps his ears pierced and his nails painted, generally dressing in the loose and flowing garb of a desert wanderer, and accessorizes with bangles, necklaces, and bracelets.

BACKGROUND: Born to a family of humble barley farmers in Heron Village, an isolated oasis town located deep in the Western Deserts, Mayze's grew up as something of an outcast. An adventurious and inquisitive boy by nature, from a young age the child yearned to explore beyond the narrow confines of the oasis village, to see what lay beyond the great windswept wastes that stretched out in all directions around them.
