CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE:
BACKGROUND:
Nearly one hundred years before current time; great disaster hit the planet Sadala. There was nothing to do, no one could do anything besides run. Many of them stuck together or simply left off for intergalactic activity, amongst those, a pack dispatched themselves away from the planet before the incoming disaster.
They of course had nowhere else to go. They could have followed the other Saiyans’ space pods and where they would have landed, but instead they were interested in the making of a business, seeing the chance of finding another planet together with their kin leading to more trouble than profit.
Moved by greed alone, they agreed to cross the stars until they’d make the fortune they desired. Of course, the pack alone was diverse. Some were bound by family, others were mere strangers that tagged along. Others were teammates, too. Diverse. Very too much so. This could only lead to disaster, in the future. However, alike many other packs: there was also a leader.
A man in his prime, Retasu. He wasn’t the strongest of them all, of course, yet his experience and attitude immediately earned him the title. He didn’t hesitate a moment to beat up those who wronged him and all the same, disciplined those who would not follow directions. At first they settled across space stations and of course, even there, people would take a pod for their own and leave, only to disappear in the infinity of space.
But a group of Saiyans remained around Retasu no less. The latter empowered the pack not by invasion, but work. Soon Retasu would be amongst the Saiyans that led a campaign of rivalry against the Herans in intergalactic, mercenary work. Yet again, fortune found its way to the Saiyans as work led to Retasu meeting an Alien Princess, Alyxia, from a peaceful world of humanoid beings with crystalline shades of hair color or, in extreme cases, some were even born with beastly features.
She was from a marble called Kryysta.
She had work cut out for the Saiyan that began a campaign of ‘colonization’ as well, upon the fertile planet. The princess herself was greatly impressed by the Saiyan leader’s attitude and invited him to be part of the royal guards as Knight. He accepted. The world welcomed the other Saiyans to join him as well, and some did. Others did not enjoy this as much. The latter’s doings would be unknown for many years.
In the royal palace, instead, an affair occurred between the Saiyan and the Princess as the two grew closer and eventually she gave birth to a young female, Fannel. To cover up a possible scandalous affair, the Saiyan was made to the public to in reality be heir to the throne as King together with the now proclaimed Queen.
Ninjin was much less like her father, polite like her mother and yet the rampage-like nature of the Saiyans was strong in her. Easily enough to proclaim, as she made it impossible to best her ever since a young age, both loved and feared by the world as the young princess with a short temper. In her years as a lady she met a Saiyan; one she had never seen before and the two would get along after some bumps across the road, marking the beginning of the bloodline that led to Nasu’s birth.
However. Not before the first son, Shiso was born. Followed right after by Nasu. The two brothers grew and were raised to be close, yet of course, by her loving mother the most. The father, Daikaro, was always at odds with them. One could perhaps wonder if he didn’t just not know how to be a father and perhaps that could be the case, but there was something larger at stake, behind the curtains.
Shiso became arrogant because he knew he would have inherited the fortune and kingdom.
Nasu instead spent a lot of his free time with the retired King Retasu, now in his elder years. By birth already he had never been the savage and with his grandpa’s presence, he imitated and admired him to the point where in adulthood he had grown to absorb his ideals and make it his: a focused mind, duty and strength. He soon rose to be at the very apex of the Kingdom’s Knights as their Marshal and found a mate he’d soon enough make his wife. Albeit Nasu would have only been a soldier, he still loved and supported his brother. The latter, while proud, did not deny as much himself.
Life was good.
Until a dreadful night took place.
His father called Nasu to the halls of his quarters, yet with an imposing request of him: to kill Shiso. Nasu was bewildered but did not immediately fight back and instead demanded an explanation. Daikaro only affirmed that Shiso had chosen a wrong path for him, and was willing to give Nasu a shot to the title of Prince, and one day, King.
He refused, in the name of their brotherly bond. Daikaro therefore leapt at his son, with killer intent. The two battled with no end, but there was no denying that his father’s years and experience were too much of an advantage to beat as Nasu was bested no matter how much he tried to resist. In a dramatic fashion, the father held his son by the throat by a window that faced a running river, at a great height from the palace. He let Nasu go, sure he’d have died from the fall alone.
Nasu survived.
He woke up somewhere distant from the kingdom. He did not know where exactly but he decided to try and follow the river back, only to find out that he was several hours away by now. He couldn’t just seem to catch a glimpse of it, but he did find a road that led to what looked like to be a cave. A cave yet thriving with the speech of mankind as he could hear them from such a distance, for they were coming out: they were all Saiyans. They seemed to be preparing themselves.
Nasu went unnoticed himself, as he walked down. There was an entire underground society, crawling with other Saiyans as well. It was a side of his planet he was ignorant of, and yet, especially there people began to gather as well and so did he. An assault was beginning upon the Kingdom, the time was dire. Nasu couldn’t put it together, there was no way he could put together political evidence in such a short time, but he knew Daikaro had something to do with this. He decided to disguise himself and join these Saiyans, on their march to the Kingdom. The next night, the assault began. The city was in flames and fire, for it was a full moon, large apes began to crawl and destroy the very walls. Nasu turned on them at the very last, in his wrath, taking down plenty of them but sustaining injuries due to the lack of numbers.
Yet again, the Knights too were made of many Saiyans across other Aliens. All of the Saiyans began to battle the enemy and yet it wasn’t long that this produced chaos; Saiyans fought Saiyans and vice versa, even if they were on the same side. All the while Nasu moved to face his Daikaro, but in his halls, he found his body, lifeless.
His anger came to a close and from the destroyed walls, he watched as the entire city was being ravaged by Saiyans of all kinds.
This was a disaster.
And Nasu himself collapsed. Out of energy from the excessive fighting. The next morning, most of the Saiyan population had destroyed itself. The citizens and remaining Knights that survived felt awakened by this, as they believed the Saiyans to be evil. Many were locked and prosecuted, if still alive, while they were tired and asleep due to the earlier night. Nasu too would have been caught if it weren’t for Retasu.
The elderly was also injured and yet he helped his grandson slowly climb to a space pod. The movement caused Nasu to briefly wake up, he didn’t really need an explanation; he could tell what was going on by now. But Retasu, old and soon about to lose conscience himself only told him: do not return. And off he went, being sent into space, off to the next planet.
On a distant space station, he was healed and from there Nasu began to wander the intergalactic routes; unsure of what really he was supposed to do from there on, now at the age of forty, he thought his life was already settled and instead now he had to figure out where to lead said life and how. His interest was piqued when he heard about a conflict concerning Saiyans, apparently, on their new homeworld. He never knew any better than what was on his planet, after all. He didn’t know about Planet Plant, at all.
He decided to set route and fly off to it; his honor as a Knight broken, and unsure what was next for his life, he decided to leave and see to the most familiar place he could find: amongst his kin, albeit, even said feelings were shaken, there was nowhere else he could hope to find himself again.
