During the war against the Saiyans, Tuffle scientists have engaged in many strange and desperate experiments in order to harness the power of science and close the gap against the martially-inclined warrior race.
Dr. Nana was one of the scientists dedicated to this effort. Specifically, he hypothesized that it would be possible to harness the incredible destructive potential of a black hole by combining one with a supernova. The birth of a new sun might provide enough power that the impossible gravitational energies of a black hole could be twisted and directed across space and towards enemy positions.
This project was considered laughable by many in Tuffle High Command, but at the same time the potential of the project bearing fruit was too great to ignore. If such energies could be harnessed then they could end the conflict in one fell swoop, and usher in a new golden age of reason and logic for the galaxy under the benevolent rule of the Tuffle people.
So, Dr. Nana utilized all the brilliant science at his disposal and slammed a supernova into a black hole to see what would happen. The energies unleashed by this catastrophic event were absurd, even by the standards of this extremely power-hungry universe. And the result… was Zupa.
Birthed as a smooth black stone, Dr. Nana at first had no idea what to make of her. However, over time, and with the potent computing and sensor power at his disposal, he was able to determine that far from focusing the energy it had instead condensed into this form of incredible density, and somehow the clashing of those two opposed forces had awakened a primitive form of sentience from the two phenomena.
This was not exactly what he had in mind, and the project was deemed a colossal failure; the expense involved was enormous and at the end of it all they had to show was a nominally sentient black orb which could communicate through pulses of electromagnetic energy.
Of course, doing something so flashy drew a lot of attention – not just from the Saiyans, but also opportunistic space pirates and even an Arcosian warlord, all of whom wanted the technology that they assumed would allow them to wreak destruction on an unprecedented scale. With his funding (and therefore, protection) pulled, Dr. Nana’s ship was left to fend for itself.
After the warlord, Glacia, captured the ship and grew irate at the useless orb (capable of answering only the most basic questions), Dr. Nana was forced to prove that Zupa wasn’t a weapon by firing the egg at the Earth. Which, happened. And resulted in a rather unimpressive crater and nothing more.
This event, however, did manage to crack the orb, and over the next year Zupa was able to slowly emerge from her ‘egg’ and into a form capable of interacting with the rest of the physical world.
That was twelve years ago. She still doesn’t fully understand the sequence of events that occurred for her; as far as she is aware, she came into existence in fire and flame, spent a long time blind and confused, talking with her ‘Father’, and was then forced apart from him by a ‘bad person’.
It has taken a long time for her jumbled psychology to settle to a point where she is relatively coherent, and she is now emerging from the desert wastes in which she landed to discover all the wonderful varieties of life and experience on Earth.
COMBAT INFORMATION
TECHNIQUES: You start with Three Standard Technique Slots that you can use any way you like. Some species start out with an additional slot. You also start with two additional Utility Technique Slots. These are for unique effects, such as Ki Sense or Magic Materialization, which aren't specifically tied to combat.

Utility Technique || Ki Sensing
A technique that allows you to sense, measure, and differentiate the ki signatures of ki attacks and all living beings without the Anti-Sense trait. Higher ki signatures are easier to sense and can be sensed at greater distances than lower ones. This technique is passive and does not use KP.
