CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE: Medusa's clothes tend to be rather messy and plain, usually giving her the visage of a witch living in slums. She's got an awesome smile, though. They stand at a relatively short 5'2".
IMAGE CREDIT: Commissiond from Chakk.
BACKGROUND: Medusa's relentlessly optimistic, infectiously outgoing and remarkably naive personality stood in stark contrast to virtually everyone she knew in the Demon Realm--but to some extent, that is what fuelled her in the first place. In a world where war was eternal and altruism was evil, a sympathetic, sympathy and kindness were avoided almost on principle. However, where most would have eventually fallen in line, she only became more steadfast in her convictions. Demons weren't born to be hateul, vengeful creatures: sure, they had a bit of a wild side, but if she was nice, why couldn't everyone be?
From birth, her ideology was considered to be ridiculous and without merit--but over time, some of her detractors began to change! Medusa's best friend was one of her biggest bullies, and her mom was a devout detractor of her ideology; neither of them, however, had the stamina to defend their way of thinking. Through the power of love, friendship and being hellishly persistent, she wore them down until they became good guys; perhaps not the best people, but a far cry from their cruel beginnings! It didn't hurt that Medusa was a genuinely fun and sweet person to be around; though occasionally impuslive and somewhat quick to anger, they had a heart of gold, believing in the best versions of them even at their worst.
Of course, it hasn't worked on everyone. Medusa's dad in particular has proven to be somewhat resistant to change, or redeemable personality traits as a whole. Seeing how far the others came, though, has made giving up on him pretty much impossible for the demon; instead, she's chosen to take a temporary vacation in the Mortal realm, hoping to hone her magical skills on the surface while making some friends. So far, it's worked out well: she met a Mechanic who doubled as a superhero and learnt some cool techniques! Now if only she could figure out how to convince dear ol' dad...

COMBAT INFORMATION

Medium Defensive || Darkwing DefenseADDITIONAL NOTES: 8,500 XP being converted into PL! First Transformation renamed to 'Inner Darkness'.
Medusa sprouts two massive, magical wings from her back capable of abosrbing powerful hits; should they falter, she can absorb the energy expended to empower her next attack!
Power: 40%
KP Cost: 3 KP
Variants: Spiteful (2 TP), -1 KP (2 TP).
Light Offensive || *Chomp*
Medusa tries to to piece the opponent's skin, either with some magical artifacts or (if she's feeling silly) by biting them!
Power: 10%
KP Cost: 1 KP
Variants: -1 KP (2 TP), Bleed (1 TP).
Light Offensive || Slowness Jinx
As a practical joke, Medusa used to jinx her friends with curses to sap them of their energy; turns out, this made for a surprisingly solid technique!
Power: 30%
KP Cost: 2 KP
Variants: Exhausting (1 TP), 2 Power Upgrades (2 TP).
Light Offensive SPARKING || Extremely Illegal Fireworks
Magical fireworks, to be precise; ones made by Medusa, too! She has just enough control over the explosives to make sure that they hit their intended target (and not her, as it usually happens).
Power: 90%
Cost: 2 KP, 2 MP.
Variants: 6 Power Upgrades (6 TP)
No Holding Back! (MAX Power)
Max Power is activated as the first action on your post. While active, it increases the power of all your techniques by +10% and drains 1 MP per post at the start of each turn. You cannot gain MP unless a trait generates it. You cannot use Evasive or Escape techniques, nor can you block escapes or defend others while active. Activating Max Power requires you to have at least 1 MP regardless of traits. Max Power can be deactivated, but only as the last action on a post AND at the end of your second post after activation at the earliest. If you hit zero MP while in Max Power, the effects immediately end and you are inflicted with the Winded status effect.
Utility Technique || Flight
Now with a lot of glitter!
Utility Technique || Magic Materialization
One of her favorite tricks is creating hotdogs from thin air--not because she couldn't make almost anything else, but because it's funny.
