”Certainly.”
Cheri passed by the Glia-Operative Neural Action Device (‘G.O.N.A.D.’), the device that Vocado had promised to have used on him before he left— provided he still wanted to see the big project, anyway— as she glided her hand across it as she walked by. Without context, it would have looked like a head-massaging device for stress relief. Interpreted in the right way, that’s exactly what it was.
She arrived at the right table. It contained various shapes and sizes of things that stored or held: it had belts, boxes, and even a device meant to be mounted on the arm for the holding and presentation of cards. But those were just the more practical-looking things: the table also had capsules on it in various states of dimensional tampering, and a strange metal sheet that looked somewhere between a stovetop and a weighing scale that had various miniature objects on it.
”I appreciate that you are lead by the practicalities, as if the ‘munition transport’ part was more interesting than the ‘transcendental geometry’ part, but it’s worth developing an understanding of the science first.”
She took a step closer and picked up one of the capsules. It was a tuffle-made capsule (Cheri had standards), and had a nice screen on it telling Cheri what was in it: a scouter, in this case. ”You are, no doubt, familiar with the humble capsule. It can ‘contain’ something with physical dimensions greater than its own via use of some dimensional trickery. Crude, but the fundamental premise holds promise.” She placed the capsule back down and then motioned to the strange metal sheet. ”The main issue with capsules is the awkward binary that exists between states. Observe:” She coated her hand in an aura of pink ki to defend it and moved her hand over the metal sheet, revealing an area of dimensional transcendence. She picked up one of the miniature objects and took it out of the transcendental zone, where it seemed to massively gain in size as it got further and further from the plate’s area. It was one of the Machine Mutants, red-eyed, and it did a little dance as it was revealed. ”A spectrum of dimensional transcendence, ripe for exploitation, and allowing for the mass and rapid application of any number of devices that capsules would be too clunky to permit. It also has applications in energy storage and such.”
Cheri looked back to Vocado. ”Questions? Or would you like to see another one?”
