NAME: Curra

AGE: 44
GENDER: Female
STARTING PLANET: Plant
HOME REGION: Lychee Sector
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE: Standing at an even but modest three feet tall, Curra is a decidedly average Tuffle with a warm brown complexion. Her hair grows out into a nest of wild and bright scarlet, which she ties into a messy bun at the crown of her head. Curra’s right eye is a rusty colour while her left is an outdated robotic replacement, a crimson metal sclera ringing a yellow iris, and underlined by jagged scars that zag from her eyelid to her cheekbone.
Striving to appear scholarly but not fretting enough over being neat, she can be distinguished by a grubby overcoat the colour of clay draping over her small frame and a pair of round spectacles which she hardly needs. Beneath her signature coat, she wears dark, light duty battle gear that’s easily overlooked.
BACKGROUND: Born to parents of no prestige in the beginnings of a war, Curra had never been thought of as much of a remarkable Tuffle. Smart, handy, but who wasn’t? She picked up a few things and skated through school, but nothing that stuck by the time she enlisted with the military. She’d never admit it, but more than duty or heroism, she felt obliged with the wear it had on her people and particularly her parents. She saw little of them in the heat of the war—her mother holding office in military intelligence while there was no end to the arm blasters and other weapons for her father to engineer.
It was awful, but anyone could have told as much. Call Curra weak in the stomach, but every day frayed her nerves, drove an ache into her even when Tuffles she couldn’t stand returned from battle disfigured, or not at all. The development of their weapons, when levelled against their enemy… even this made her heart bleed. If there was one singular ray of sun to be found in the bloody cloud that choked their planet, it was that Curra discovered her life’s work. Decided that she wanted to return home in one piece and give the same dignity to everyone she could. She studied the galaxy’s available healing technology, down to the principles on which it functioned, and even found inspiration in the dread the Saiyan soldiers inspired in her. Curra found more time for her research following a brutal Saiyan counterattack that cost her eye and forced her dismissal from the military.
Never seeing combat in the ten years since, she couldn’t even be eased as the war had gradually begun to wind down. Taking a position at Hatchi University following her graduation, she slowly developed her work into something real. Something good. Her study of bioenergetics led her to one answer; ki. The living power that inhabited even someone as ostensibly weak as her. She learned how to artificially amplify it, quickly making strides to advance the body’s natural ability to right itself and advancing noninvasive medical procedures. Curra earned recognition, and more importantly, found her own calling. With this, she could help people.
She found confidence and peace, relieving herself of old wounds and aiding many others, Tuffle and Saiyan alike. But she was not idle. In pursuit of greater achievements in her field, she realized her research’s potential as something more than a means to heal, and confirmed as much as she procedurally enhanced her own ki. In weeks, she became many times more powerful than she’d ever been before. And like never before, she felt the weight of responsibility on her shoulders, keeping her advancements for non-medical purposes her closest guarded secret. She was nothing yet to the growing population of Super Saiyans, Arcosians, even certain well-armed Tuffles. Though she wondered if she should allow that to stay the case.

COMBAT INFORMATION
TECHNIQUES:
Light Attack || SurefireADDITIONAL NOTES: N/A

Power: 40%
KP Cost: 2 KP
Variants: N/A
Light Defense || Self Defense
Curra uses her very basic understanding of close combat, making distance from an opponent by raising her strength enough to block their hit or throw them away from herself.
Power: 20%
KP Cost: 1 KP
Variants: N/A
Heavy Defense || Laminar Augment
Amplifying her ki to strengthen her body, Curra wreaths herself with it as an elastic, transparent barrier that lasts a short time, reactively flaring up to repel impacts against it.
Power: 70%
KP Cost: 4 KP
Variants: Sustained
Heavy Attack || Shining Optima (10k Slot)
Engaging her enhancements, Curra’s energy swells to its peak until it pours out of her body, forming from her hands into a crackling longbow. Releasing the tension, the sum of energy breaks apart and streaks towards the enemy as a fiery salvo of arrows.
Power: 110%
KP Cost: 6 KP
Variants: Overflowing
Utility Technique || Natural Limit
Curra’s strength is not the result of physical conditioning or combat skill, but her own research into artificially raising one’s ki. Without exercising this artificial power, her power level is suppressed to a tenth of her base PL.
Utility Technique || Jet Propulsion
Being as she lacks the proficiency of spirit to achieve flight in quite the same way as many others, Curra adopted the method of propelling her small form with small, precise beams of ki that burn from her extremities.
