Erys acted quickly in response to Azelas's threat, sending her projectile blade straight at him. For the first time in as long as Cephala could remember he felt genuine shock. What the Hell was she doing? Cephala was about to speak up until he heard the slicing of flesh and bone as the Captains arm fell to the ground. Instantly the man collapsed, though he went down with a look of victory on his face. Cephala turned his attention back to Erys, trying to figure out why she had just done what she did.
"What are you doing, you fool? He didn't say it would go off when he died. He just said that the device is linked to his heart beat, and now you've severed it from his body!? I didn't know Humans carried their hearts in their forearms now; have you evolved that much since my incubation?" The Captain let out a laugh as he lay on the floor, bleeding out profusely now. "Your friend... is right. Maybe you should have paid attention in biology..."
The device around the man's arm had been crushed by Erys, but did it matter? The disconnect between the Captain's heartbeat had already been felt. A red light shone out from several antennae around the room now; there was no telling when they might go off. "What now?"

Erys had made a terrible lapse in judgment. She thought that the device linked to the captain's heartbeat was gaining its input via some kind of suction-based cardiac monitor given the direct absence of wiring between the forearm and his chest. But, no — apparently, the contraption on his forearm was able to get his pulse directly.
An ingenious technology to be sure, but Erys knew better than to bet her survival on a coin flip-esque gambit — no, not when she still had to take her revenge. "Stand back and witness, Cephala. Plan B is... messy." For once, her árula being a ravenous null divorced from Seratus' ten elemental arulal frequencies would come in handy. She was capable of emboldening herself with árula found in energetic attacks or convert her own pain into power, so why not try explosives as a new fuel?
For this, she'd need to use her trump card. With an application of vynero hastily deployed to make her fly in the middle of the room, Erys pointed the tip of Kárnis toward one of the many explosive caches scattered around the cargo bay. "Balbatûhr." The dull whiteness of her vacuous eyes began to shine with an intense glow, transferring árula from Erys' body to the tip of her alkálipe. The tiny-yet-extremely-dense bead of translucent árula stretched forward, expanding into a vortex that began sucking in everything that it pointed toward.
The likes of crewmates and bleeping explosives were all mowed down in this energetic blender, outright disappearing instead of leaving behind traces of apparent damage. Erys deliberately did not target the Captain — she wanted to kill him with her own hands. This did not mean that her body got off scot free; her figure was extremely bloated, her mocha flesh tearing at the seams to reveal the likes of bloody sinew and muscles. Her ducts were watering and her razor-sharp fangs gnashed, which indicated how much pain this little masochist was going through to experience it in a negative way.
"I-" With a thunderous noise, Erys' body popped like a balloon, buffeting the area with an overwhelming stream of árula that dissipated hundreds of meters away deep in the neighboring corridors of the vessel. What was left of Erys was, well, everywhere. Splatters and small chunks, for the most part. Yet, amidst this carnage, a small, pulsating sphere of grayed out whiteness was still aloft. Kárnis, too, had yet to turn to dust.
Could this be her soul? Perhaps it was a himônus' heart?
The origin of this core did not matter. In the end, what was important is how it stitched back the little maniac together: A byzantine spider web of thin, gossamer threads was sent out in all directions, recovering mismatched pieces of her body that were held together in an extremely crude and gruesome shape of who she was supposed to be. The strings were reeled back from where they came from, surrounding the incomplete body with a network of lines that punctured through her flesh, stitching back her parts into something that was capable of holding its shape.
Then, a himônus' normal regenerative abilities kicked in, making up for the missing body parts with brand new ones thanks to all the árula the alkaguíria got from the converted explosives and crewmate bodies.
Erys fell to the cargo bay's floor with a loud thud, her body splayed on its back. She was winded from the experiment with her chest moving via quick heaves.

Cephala wasn't even sure how to describe what he witnessed next. Erys acted quickly to rectify her mistake, using her own life force to create some sort of vacuum. The Android was now beginning to fear for himself, having to dig his claws into the steel frame of the ship to stop himself from being consumed. Everything within her path was slurped, with the exception of the Captain who remained incapacitated on the ground, doing his best to try and slow the bleeding from his wound. He was failing.
The bloated, floating Erys was a sight so comical that even Cephala had to chuckle, which left him off guard for what came next. The Alien exploded right before his eyes, sending chunks of organic matter flying in every direction. Cephala was thrown off his feet, slamming into the hull of the vessel and nearly piercing through to the certain death that was outer space. Once he pulled himself out of the wall he couldn't help but take a taste of the meal Erys had so graciously left behind.
"Ohhh.... that power! That power is mine!" Cephala was so consumed that he didn't even notice the reformation until the loud thud of her body falling roused his senses. "Hmmm?" The Android spun around and walked over to the body, wondering if now was the time to strike. He could still sense her life force, but maybe...
"Today's your lucky day." Cephala cackled at Azelas, kicking the man in the direction of his escape pod. Whether or not the man still had the strength to climb inside was unclear, but he wasn't Cephala's problem. The Android, now standing over Erys, brought his tail up in the air before driving it downwards aimed at the himônus's chest.

In a vacuum, one could have considered Cephala's decision to betray his himônus "ally" foolish. At the same time, when considering the bigger picture, could you really fault him? There was no guarantee that he'd ever have the strength required to foil Seratus' defenders and he had a readily available alkaguíria within tail's reach. She looked unconscious, quite literally served on a silver platter for him to consume. He knew about her potency —he just witnessed it first hand— so why squander a perfectly valid meal ensuring the next evolutionary step of his DNA?
The poor, ignorant fool...
If only he had known about the nature of Erys' árula, maybe he would have reconsidered before trying to jam his tail through her chest. He did not, though, so he experienced the reality check almost immediately: That pallid, quasi-unnoticeable aura of hers who had yet to truly fade away manifested ghostly tendrils that stopped Cephala's attack dead in its tracks. These gossamer extremities coiled around his tail before sucking away at all the strength his attack possessed.
He who came with the intention to take just had something robbed away from him.
It was made evident with how Erys' eyes shot open with dark veins now lacing their usual empty whiteness. The árula around her body flared, growing brighter. "I see how it is~" With her lucidity back to its peak, her aura let go from his appendage. Erys stood up with a kip-up, pushing herself into the air with the intention of wrapping her thighs around the biodroid's face, essentially headlocking him. If this worked, she would have summoned Kárnis back to her with a snap of her digits, holding it upside down with a two-handed grip to drive it through the biodroid's back repeatedly.
"STINGER! STINGER! STINGER!" The alkaguíria's vengeful cackle reverberated through the bloody cargo bay.
Cephala had chosen his meal poorly.

Cephala's tail was stopped dead in it's tracks before ever making contact with his target. Instead several small pincers dug themselves into the Bio-Androids skin, and at once he could recognize the all too familiar feeling of having your life force drained away. Cephala attempted to rip his tail out of the Alien's grip, but to no avail. Only Erys herself could release him, after taking a good chunk of his life force with him. The woman opened her eyes and spat back at him, apparently with a sense of betrayal.
"See? No. You knew this all along. From the moment we met you knew how this would end; don't pretend otherwise." Erys leapt from the floor and wrapped her legs around Cephala's head, before reforming her blade and digging it over and over into his back. She had moved too fast for the Bio-Android to counter; at best he could bring his arms around his back to block some of the incoming blows.
"Wicked Devil! You should have stayed dead! We could have been great together! You could have been apart of greatness!" With Erys still on top of him Cephala would turn and charge towards the imprint within the hull that his own body had left only a few moments ago. Upon getting close enough Cephala would attempt to power-bomb Erys through the ship's hull, sending her into outer space.

That Cephala guy sure was a funny character, wasn't he? As if Erys knew for a fact that he was going to try to stab through her chest when they met. Well, in hindsight, he did hold the spine of a recently deceased man despite purporting to be a so-called astray traveler when it happened. Oh, well, that'd teach her for being too trustworthy; the alkaguíria made a promise to herself that, next time she saw a bug, she'd squash it instead of giving it the benefit of the doubt.
Speaking of pesky insects, this one made himself a difficult target by blocking access to his back, making her alkálipe's job to find purchase under his chitin all the more annoying. "Come on! It's no fair if you don't want others to rip out your spine when it's something you seem to specialize yourself in~"
Her opponent's silliness amused her immensely. Without paying much attention to the fact that he was currently bull rushing with her in tow toward the hull, she corrected him on the matter at hand. "Nonono! I never died, you dork. I was merely recovering..." She hissed at the concept of being relegated to the mere role of biological constituent inside someone else's body. "As if I'd let you kill me! You, however, will wish you had died when I'll be done with y-"
All that haughty nagging came to a sudden shrieking close when the biodroid slammed Erys' back through the ship's frame before letting go of her. Normally, any normal being would have been sucked effortlessly into the vacuum of space. It was also the case for the dark-skinned redhead, but she did not give up and instead decided to give chase to a ship that already slowed down thanks to the ongoing boarding.
A vynero more intense than all the others seen this far shrouded Erys’ body. The pale energy billowing around her hung onto what little oxygen there was left near her, feeding it to the alkaguíria’s respiratory system as she drifted across the void of space to latch onto the ship’s hull.
Cephala probably heard the slightest of thuds coming from outside. There was the faintest of pointy, triangular indentations against the ship’s framework. Then, the same thumping made itself heard, this time louder. It happened again and again, growing in intensity and speed with each following instance. The notch grew longer in response to this wailing, the metal stretching around it until it finally collapsed with a bloodcurdling noise as Kárnis’ serrated fangs finally tore through it with a downward pull.
Erys barged back inside the cargy bay from the opening she carved, its gaping form soon plugged by a thin layer of emergency lining deployed by the vessel’s automated security system. "YOOOOOOOOOU!" She levitated to her prey with killing intent oozing from her leering countenance. "SERATUS COULD HAVE BEEN OOOOOURS!" A flurry of quasi-surgical alkálipe strikes ensued. They were all deliberately aimed at the creature's joints in an attempt to cripple him. The entire torque of her rotating body was put behind each blow, the momentum of her swinging arms acting as a jumping point from which the next tearing slash rose to prominence.
PL: 50,000 -> 200,000 (Erys is in her Árula Unleashed form.)
Erys seemed far too engaged in conversation to notice what the Android had planned. As soon as he smashed her through the outer lining of the ship he had a new issue to deal with: not getting sucked out himself. "Warning. Warning. Vessel's Hull has been breeched. Oxygen levels down to 80%"Cephala dug his nails into walls and began to pull himself across, in search of a way to plug up the gap he had just created. "Warning. Warning. Vessel's Hull has been breached. Oxygen levels down to 60%."
Cephala threw whatever scraps had been left within the room after Erys' self detonation, desperately trying to seal up the breech with whatever he could. Eventually the ship deployed some sort of self-repair that served to patch up the opening he had made. Once the plug was sealed Cephala could release his grip, though he didn't know how much time that would buy him...
He needed to think about getting out of here now; with Erys gone there was nothing left for him. He scanned the room and found that the Captain's escape pod remained unused, with Azelas himself nowhere to be seen. Cephala began the walk over to the escape pod, only stopping when he heard something coming from outside. "What?!" He could sense Erys' life force before he could see her. How could she have survived the vacuum of space? Not even Cephala could have done that.
Erys came upon Cephala and dug into his joints with a series of precision strikes. The Android collapsed, snarling back at Erys in disgust. "Seratus will be mine. Your backwater will serve to transform me in the most dangerous force this universe has ever seen! Why would I want to share with you? You've served your purpose. You've given me a taste of what's to come. Leave, before I show you want I'm really capable of." All the while the injured Cephala was using his tail to slowly inch towards the Captain's pod.

This was an extremely difficult situation for the frenzied Erys to deal with. Cephala was a being capable of defending himself, then why did they recoiled and withdrew themselves instead of facing her, of honoring her alkaguíria strength? For a moment, she wanted to wrap her hands around his neck and squeeze the life out of this bug, but as he approached the Captain's pod with his tail, she understood.
"Survival..." She said wistfully, looking around the cargo bay to gauge the intensity of the damage. The ship was now bereft of crew, condemend to eternally drift away in the emptiness of space until it was either found or crashed into something. At least, it was the case given her lack of experience with vessels of this class. The remaining space pods were also few and far between; more fighting could potentially spell the end of any feasible escape route for the both of them.
"I concur. You will serve your purpose in due time as well." She stated, shunting Kárnis to her hips with a telekinetic wag of her fingers. "If you are serious about wanting to feed, then seek the alkaguírios; normal himônus are no better than the pathetically weak and utterly unsubstantial earthlings." Putting him on the warpath against the árula masters of House Azenor would make the job easier for her in the future. Besides, it's not like thousands of them at their current level could successfully trump the might of the planet's guardian Dákrons.
No, Erys stayed silent about that last part; Cephala would find out by himself. The alkaguíria threw her head above her shoulders and let her mirth known. "May we never cross paths again, you gluttonous fool!" She began levitating away with her arms crossed, looking down at the biodroid with defiance and contempt.

Surprisingly, Erys was ready to end their engagement. Had his words really gotten to her? Perhaps there was something he was missing; some element of their surroundings that had slipped by him... but maybe he should take the victory now while it was still within reach. Erys wasn't his true end goal, as while she may have satisfied him for a time he required much more biological material than what should could provide. He was interesting in harvesting from planets; continuing on with her could jeopardize that.
She even made a suggestion: go after the alkaguírios... whatever those were. Perhaps they were another native of Seratus, in which case he'd probably get around to them at some point. He planned on stripping the entire planet bare in due course. A few moments later and she was back in the air, levitating away, presumably back from wherever she had come from. She had her own ship, but Cephala doubted that his own pod was still functional. Luckily the Captain had been so gracious as to leave his behind.
He turned away from Erys and scuttled to safety, immediately hitting on the eject button and heading back onto his old trajectory... hopefully he wouldn't be running into her likes again anytime soon.
