Under The Sunlight

Well, if anything he could not complain that the air was not pleasant. This place was a delight to rest at, and while of course most of the Namekians here did not seem very knowledgeable with Nasu they were all friendly enough to let him hang around for a while, while he just completely took this chance to kind of just sit and relax, think about other things. Tea like this could be a very interesting moment to indulge in some well deserved self reflection. A moment to try and appreciate the smaller things in life, perhaps.

After all, it had been a while since he had given himself such a chance. As of late, the chase for even greater power had been astronomically heavier than the past year, and while there was no major breakthrough yet, he could otherwise feel like he was on the right path to what he sought to achieve. Now, whether or not this thing could have been worth all the work... who knew. He had to just try and reach it first.

But his trail of thought was suddenly interrupted when he felt somebody embrace against his back when his eyes opened and blinked, well this was new, but not in an unpleasant way. Perhaps almost in a nostalgic manner, too, now that he felt her frame against his own briefly, he looked up briefly only to spot Zuqetta. He gave her a short smile, albeit rather confused.

"I did not expect to see you here."

He just let her be, he did not seem to really mind in any case, before eventually she turned around and just faced him, he remained sat with both legs crossed while his hands just rested on top of his own ankles.

"Ahahah, no chance. Cheri would not be too happy with that. But I have some friends here I am helping out, right now I am mostly just taking a break, though."

Meanwhile the swordsman did not appear to take 'a break' seriously, though, given he was overall just dressed much like he was all the time. Mind you, given most of his stuff was made with his own soul at this point, it was not like he did not know what he could change into, but rather he was just comfortable this way. It was the way he was.

The Saiyan had no idea of course what Zuqetta was doing here in the first place, he did not exactly keep track of each person and what they were doing, so when she just happened to pull what appeared to be a... root? Oh, was it a whole plant? He blinked even more, when he was just as confused as it could get, she eventually just explained that she was helping out some of the farmers here. Which of course led him to just gaze over her with a smile, he was glad. It sort of reminded the Saiyan of himself some years ago when he happened to have been saved by the demonic possession at the time, and he would spend a few months here just rehabilitating.

"Ah, okay, makes sense. But of course, most people here are quite helpful and kind. Nero, too, of course, but he is also busy. He is the kind of guy that has to keep tabs on so many things, sadly. Even a place as peaceful as this sadly has the kind of petty conflicts we would witness on other worlds, but that is just how us living beings are I guess."

It would be weird if everyone just happened to get along, but well, it was not something that he could exactly explain or make much philosophy off of such a matter that was beyond him. In any case, he just looked up at her when she happened to question his relation with Cheri, well. Of all things he was a tad confused the very Queen had not heard of it, but perhaps it was more something that had been a talk of the month in Hatchi than anywhere else on the planet.

"Funny you say that. Years ago I was, as a matter of fact, her bodyguard. I had sworn to fight in her people's name if the Saiyans would escalate the cold war any further."

He chuckled a little bit, slightly nostalgic. Even now, he had changed so much but he did not ever think he would choose any different now, simply because there was a simple matter: there were people in this world that were that pretentious that they thought they could play with life, just because they believed themselves superior or rightful in their own right in doing so for all the wrong reasons, that was not something that he sympathized with at all.

"Anyway, no, not quite. I do not accept contracts. Cheri and I have been dating for some time now."
