The Lost Quadrant -

Sailing across the galaxy would never lose it's appeal to the young Shinjin, Ping sat aboard a ship she had rented out using her and Koda's share of the latest payment for another job well done, some mercenary work Ping didn't bother to remember the details of since Koda was more than capable and willing to handle the job by herself, as expected from one of her champion. The ship was modest and small only hosting a small cock pit on the front that hosted simple pilot's chair and off to the side with the navigator's chair where the lanky android worked silently to update the coordinates in real time, not a word being spoke verbally between the two yet undeniably working in perfect synch to avoid the many wormholes that littered the area. Celsio had said something about this area being notorious for many ships getting careless and getting too close into one of the voids, never to be seen again.

It was also apparently a great place for criminals to hide, something that had drawn Ping out with her champion so they may claim one of the bounties on the criminals, surely one of them had to be worthy zeni to someone somewhere. The rest of the crew were busy resting and repairing the ship or whatever else they did whenever she wasn't there to guide them, probably waiting patiently for her return like one should when dealing with a Goddess of her caliber. It was during their travels that she noticed another ship sailing it's way into the quadrant, causing the Shinjin's eyes to narrow as she considered her best course of action, attacking was probably what was expected of her but what if this person wasn't even worth any zeni? This was a troublesome prospect she hadn't yet considered, damaging this rental ship wouldn't be worth it if she came back with a body that wouldn't even cover the cost to repair the ship, let alone if the other pilot turned out to be some nobody pirate worth absolutely nothing.

"Attention mortal! I am the Patron Goddess of Pirates, Ping! I demand that you identify yourself and any bounties you may have no your head or face the wrath of a Goddess!" Ping's voice would shout into the ship's radio, Koda, her ever faithful champion on the other hand simply began signaling the other ship with a request for communication, Ping's demands going unheard by the other ship since Ping didn't actually know how to function many of the ship's mechanics, truthfully Koda had been piloting the ship by hacking into the mainframe and taking control from the self proclaimed Patron Goddess of Pirates, allowing her to play with the disabled controls while the android ensured they didn't get themselves killed.

As Ping waited patiently to hear from the other ship, she rapped the armchair in anticipation, curious what the other ship must be thinking and what their reaction would be, would they cower? Would they beg for mercy? Or perhaps, most likely, would they plead and beg to become one of her faithful? She could titter and tatter, hum and haw, really make them work for it but obviously she'd welcome them as part of her loyal little flock, Asperaga would be pleased if she could bring more deck hands, especially if they would prove themselves strong.

Koda however had received the ship's reply, not only was this ship hailing from the Acrosian Empire but the ship was manned by a commander within the Empire, a fact that would prove troublesome if it really did come down to any sort of battle, their ship was likely geared for war while their own was equipped with simple self defense weapons, boarding the enemy ship would be an even worse idea for as powerful as Ping believed herself to be, they'd stand no chance against the commander, the tales Celsio had weaved of the mighty Empire had ensured the rest of the Twilight Brigade would tread carefully when dealing with them.

"They're from the Acrosian Empire, my Goddess. They mean us no harm and perhaps, we could team up with them to better improve our odds of claiming a worthwhile bounty, I shall patch Commander Orenji through on the monitor to your left." The telepathic voice of Koda brought Ping out of her thoughts, the Shinjin snapping to attention and narrowing her eyes as she looked upon the Acrosian ship, she had expected more but then again, larger ships wouldn't be ideal in this scenario.

"Ah, Commander Oren! It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, you may address me as your lady, ladyship, goddess, mada- Zzzzzt- Or alternatively, just Ping shall work!" Ping would introduce herself with self assured grin as she looked down at the small monitor that displayed the weak and frail looking Commander and unintentionally called him the wrong name, however as she listed her many, many, many titles, Koda had decided to run interference and as Ping listed her titles, the feed would glitch for Orenji with the audio cutting and the visual becoming filled with static for a few seconds before returning to normal as Ping finished her introduction.

"My, you look harmed Commander, perhaps I can heal your wounded limb? It's no big feat for a Goddess such as I. It would do us no good if you were to join us on battle and fail to aid us in capturing a bounty due to your own injuries, no?" Ping would comment as she noted the cane the commander seemed to rely on, letting out a small arrogant chuckle to herself as she leaned back on her chair, feeling completely in control of the situation.

Ping only frowned as the alien creature turned down her offer of healing, something she would've scoffed at and demanded she treat the injury anyways if it wasn't for the fact that this Commander had met another Shinjin somewhere before. She had known some of her sisters and brothers had came to the mortal realm, she had been inspired by them and thus she had set out to do the same, but to learn that this man was among the first she would encounter that had seemed fully ready to believe herself to be a Goddess, yet it was only due to meeting another. What if he had already sworn his faith to another? Was this injury actually a testament of his faith? Refusal to seek the aid of another Godly being to showcase his loyalty to this other Shinjin? Ping bit her lip as she pondered what this would mean for a brief moment as she had began to take the ship to the landing docks, her expert flying skills working exactly as intended, she didn't even need to properly aim the ship for it to understand her meaning and correct itself so they could dock properly.

"Koda! We're meeting with this Commander Orange, be on your best behavior! He may be the faithful of another Shinjin, so you may refrain from speaking your praises over me, lest we offend our dear guest." Ping declared as the duo began making their way to the entrance, the lanky android stalking behind her as they prepared themselves to meet the alien species Ping hadn't bothered to remember the species name, she was vaguely aware she had met some of his species before yet none had caught her eye like he had, and that was before she had even learned he was one of the faithful of another Shinjin, that alone would've made him worth keeping an eye on.

As the doors slide open, the first thing Ping noticed about the alien was that he was tall, almost freakishly tall, the tallest member of the Twilight Brigade had stood behind her and towered over her yet even Koda had to look up to look at the alien's face, although the second thing that caught her attention was the vast amount of injuries that the alien had taken over the years and seemingly chosen to replace with parts of other aliens, like some sort of Frankenstein monster. She had assumed the strange appendages were just the monitor playing tricks on her but no, the man seemingly had four arms that were composed of various alien species, a Namekian, a crab and a squid took the place of the other arms, his lower torso was that of an Acrosian, and even one of his eyes was replaced with cybernetics.

"I believe I see why you believe your injuries are not quite possible to heal..." Ping would comment as she looked the alien up and down, not even entirely sure how the creature stood before her since all these organics shouldn't really be playing nice with each other, especially the lower half of the body, would it even age at the same rate as the rest of his limbs? Would he become an old and frail man from the chest up while his legs remained in his prime? "Regardless, I believe you shall be of aid for your sturdiness if nothing else, this is my champion, Koda. She doesn't speak much." Ping cleared her throat and instead moved onto business, introducing her silent android companion, the android still standing behind Ping and while she had been slouching when the door had opened, she had since straightened up and her body became more tense, perhaps she had been as caught off guard as she had about the man's height, the woman rarely ever stood upright, presumably to be closer to her Goddess, at least that's what Ping had chosen to believe.

Ping watched with utter fascination as the freak of nature showcased the limbs original abilities, the Namekian arm maintaining it's same elasticity as any other Namekian was proof enough that Ping doubted the squid arm's suction cups wouldn't work, let alone the far more simplistic crab arm, she wondered what other Shinjins would make of this creature, surely the one who had lead the creation of the Namekians would be at least a little offended, right? If Ping's own creation had been butchered and stuck onto some other creature to make a random mess of limbs from various species, Ping would probably smite the offender and travel to the afterlife to do so again. Alas, this wasn't her territory to butt in on, another Shinjin had already met this creature and for all Ping knew, the Shinjin may have not only blessed him but was the one who had gifted the commander his various limbs.

"Ah, but of course! A Goddess such as I has no need for pointless fights, the salvage from this ship may not cover the expenses I would incur in a fight, nor would your head be worth anything. Officially anyways, there's probably some black market price, but I have no idea where this black market is and it's not worth the hassle to find it." Ping answered with a simple wave of her hand, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world and speaking as if the black market was an actual market located in some set location that was a closely guarded secret and hidden away, Celsio had tried to explain to the Shinjin what exactly was the black market but Ping had wrote him off as the Acrosian being too prideful to admit he didn't know the location of the black market. She'll laugh in his face when she has finally lead her crew to finding this black market, surely there must be so many good deals and even more bounties for them to collect, she had heard rumors of various prominent figures being on the black market bounty list but without knowing where the black market was, she couldn't figure out if the fight would be worth the price for any of those people.

"Oh? An empty outpost, you say? Then let us set sail, with luck we may recover valuables or even the ones who had attacked the outpost, surely they would have a bounty if they launched an attack on an outpost!" Ping declared as she began to march forward blindly, dead set on making her way to the bridge, Koda, her ever faithful companion followed behind and subtly began to guide the Shinjin where to go by herding her a certain direction, neither of the two waiting for Orenji to guide them but making no complaints should he take the lead from them. "Tell me Commander Organs, is this your full crew? A navigator and your own champion? Surely you must have more if you are a commander, no?" Ping would inquire as she briefly glanced toward the tall freak, still having not remembered his name correctly, not for a lack of trying, she was certain it was something with an O and an r, she just couldn't for the live of her remember the rest of the name. Not that she'd ever admit that, asking the Commander for his name again? She would not bring shame to the Shinjin by making such a silly mistake and admitting she didn't bother to remember his name correctly
